Blur gradient: Feature Request

This is something I've been wanting for a really long time.

So, Pretty much, You know when you have that drop-down gradient box, where it says, color mode, and transparency mode?

Well, I was thinking why shouldnt there be a blur mode?

This would be a great alternitive to gradient Blur, and would help TONS.

So, instead of just gradient-ing a color, why not a blur, lets say you drag your nub from the left side of the canvas to the middle, the left side would be blurred, and the blur would get weaker and you move right.

Any Ideas? Would this be hard to make or implement?

And we already can do this with layers, blur, and alpha gradients.

That's correct, use the Gradient Blur plugin, it does exactly what you are asking for Onemorelevel, and see how slow is.

Mine doesnt work for some reason. So is there any other way? Ash said something about Alpha gradient, what is that?

Dup layer, blur.
