Ego Eram Reputo Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Most plugins will work on a selection, so if you create a selection ( or ) then apply the plugin the effect should be limited to the area(s) you have chosen. Sozo Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 And if that doesn't work for you, you can try using the effect on a new layer, then moving the effect to where you want it to be. Ill try to explain it again:P (sry my bad english) I like to edit a plugin so i can move the effect (this have nothing with a paint) over to a map f.eks. could i call the map "My favorits Effect" or something like that. Curmudgeon Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 You can not move effects from one folder to another. I think this is what you are asking. The location for the plugin (in render section, distort section, etc.) are set by the person who makes the plugin code. Perhaps in new version of Paint.NET it will be possible, but not now. Simon Brown Posted August 15, 2009 Share Posted August 15, 2009 I was just thinking if i could edit some text in the dll file:P While theoretically possible, it would require you to disassemble the effect (search for Reflector), fix any errors occurring from that and then recompile it - and look forward to doing the same for future versions.
