Plugin to change layer[box] color?

I know that creating folders can't be a plugin and has to be done by the developer but is there way to at least color the layer's box so it's easier to "group"?

No. Plugins can't modify the PDN user interface in any way (other than, of course, adding entries to the Adjustments and Effects menus, and submenus to the Effects menu).

I interpreting this as  @LineArtPotato requesting the ability to customize the color of layers natively (using PDN and not a plugin).
