Unimatrix Posted May 15, 2022 Share Posted May 15, 2022 I have pictures that someone ripped years back. I do not have the pieces that were ripped off. In most cases, I have 50-75% of the original picture intact. I am wondering if there is any way that I can scan the image in, and using Paint.NET to help me restore the missing parts with approximates of surrounding area in the picture to make it look whole again enough to reprint it. Perhaps I'll take a look at restoring it sometime. Just can not trust online databases. I thought of the cloning tool, but since some areas are more defined, say a beach or home, I do not think I am that far in amateur skills to make it look believable. I uploaded three examples (and these not even the worst). Do you think the cloning tool can help with these? That caption was for my brother who knows the people in that photograph. I uploaded it for this post mainly on the content otherwise ripped. Sorry for making you all think I was expecting "a miracle fix" for a head. Although, if someone also knew of that picture and knew the people, I be concerned. Rle, not bad at all.
