Gaditi
Hi all, I've just purchased this banner bundle: https://graphicriver.net/item/instagram-post-and-stories-banner-bundle/23486351 Apparently, the filters don't work on Paint.NET. Is there a plugin that can solve this? Thanks a million
Pixey
Hello @Gaditi and welcome to the forum You can't just download 'filters' to paint.net, as we have our own Plugins. Gaditi
Got you. So. there is a solution how I can edit the psd file?
ReMake
You can upload a PSD file using the PSD plugin for Paint.NET, but the text information will be lost. You will not be able to edit the text located on one of the PSD layers.

I have this plugin. the thing is that when I open the psd file from the google drive app (I saved the file on GD), I can see the background color and the filter. whereas, when I open the file with Paint.NET, the colors are gone. Kindly see attached pics... On google drive (preview and file itself) and a screenshot of the actual file when opened on Paint.NET.
Gaditi
And this is how I see the layers and the filters/color mask that don't seem to work...

It seems that the "Pass Through" blend mode doesn't exist on Paint.NET. Any recommendation for an alternative mode that is the most similar to Pass Through? Thanks a lot! ardneh
So far as I can tell Paint.net is always equivalent to PhotoShop's pass-through mode. Paint.net has no layer group function. Pass-through mode treats grouped layers as though they are not grouped. ================================== You can open the .psd file, but the functionality of the programs is different. PhotoShop will know what to do with the layer named Gradient Color Mask. In Paint.net that layer is blank. What you need to do is make a bottom layer that is the color that you want the background to be. For the drop shadow of the text you will need to apply a drop shadow to the text with a plugin, or make a drop shadow on a layer beneath the text.
