.tga problem

Can you identify the bit-depth? TGA's commonly come in 24-bit and 32-bit. It looks to me like the bit depth is being misrepresented.

 

It would be useful for diagnostics if you upload the image file so we can have a look.

It looks to me like this graphic file is used in a game. Many times game engines use TGA files alpha channel for something other than alpha it’s self. That’s probably what’s going on here.

Im not sure how to get the bit-depth of a .tga but here is the file:

BoltBait is correct. Your image is simply using the Alpha channel for something other than opacity.

 

Paint.NET won't support this file in the way you'd like.
