-Expiration-
Or ... I could stick it on my USB and then use my dads laptop to post it on the 10th. Or upload everything to the web first, then post it later. Thanks for the idea Crimson, buddy! Quote Call me expired. Please. -Expiration-
Anything to weaken the competition. How 'bout you? As far as I know, you're the only major announced contestant that hasn't shown any sort of preview. Afraid? Quote Call me expired. Please. Crimson
If I previewed mine, you would all be so discouraged that you probably wouldn't enter. That wouldn't be fun. Crimson
fair enough. This icon is subject to change without notice. Much like my old one. But better. By the way, Jake, the perspective on your computer is slightly off. Maybe you want to fix that. Quote Create A Professional-Looking Product Advertisment Mockup flickr | Deviant Art
-Expiration-
Fine, if I must. Although this is not exactly my favorite one. And yes, I realize the computer is empty/has no components in it. Deal with it. Quote Call me expired. Please. Don't go counting your chickens before the pack of rabid ravaging foxes attacks. -Sozo
jake2k
By the way, Jake, the perspective on your computer is slightly off. -Expiration-
Thanks Jake, it took a lot of work to make it look translucent. It's not actually translucent though, if you put it on any color background, it'll stay the same color. >.< Also, I think what Crimson is trying to say is that in perspective, things get smaller as they get farther away. In your case, the back of the tower looks somewhat bigger than the front, although the front is closer. By the way, I like the texture you put on the front, it looks awesome. Quote Call me expired. jake2k
Most of the things I make that look translucent really aren't so your not alone there lol Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
Crimson
Look at Expiration's computer, which is correct in perspective. Use Shape3D to make a cube, and you will see that edges of a rectangular prism are not parallel when drawn. jake2k
Yep I'm well aware of all that but I also know that art doesn't have to be perfect, which is one of the reasons I love making it Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
Crimson
I'm well aware of that. Putting perspective aside, I think it looks great. I hope you don't get mad at me, but I did this for fun. It's quick and choppy, but it shows what it would look like with (somewhat ) correct perspective. Edit: My eight icons are now done. Crimson
Uhh....it is. The icon is for Windows Media Player. A video file association icon. Windows Media Player is an application that associates itself with the video file types WMV and AVI. Perhaps more. In my opinion, it fulfills the requirement for these instructions. scudder5000
All of your icons are amazing. Not quite sure if this is the best place to put this question. Example: I have a folder on my desktop (called Graphic). How would I change the generic folder icon into a custom icon? Quote My Gallery
Crimson
If the icon that you want to use is a .ico file, right click the "Graphic" folder and click Properties > Customize > Change Icon. Then click "Browse," etc. If the icon is a PNG file, feed it through ConvertIcon to make it a .ico file. Then do as above. Have fun  edited for clarity.
