Final 2018 photomanipulation up! As I ring into the new year, I wish to convey my gratitude to the Paint.NET community for being an awesome bunch. To those who have stopped by and commented on my photomanipulations, thank you. To Rick Brewster, thanks for making a great software that is FREE, easy to use, and did I say FREE? To the plug-in authors, thanks for making PDN accessible and possible for me to do all my photomanipulations. Happy New Year to you all! -
Well, Rick, it sounds like you are truly engaging in ground breaking works for PDN. I am truly excited about what's coming through the pipeline.

Black and White+ plugin v1.1 Updated Nov 10, 2018
TrevorOutlaw replied to BoltBait's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
Thank you, BoltBait. I also appreciate the source code so I can look at it and study it. I'm about to take C++ for my last Computer Science class (engineering management major) requirement, so... -
Is it nessecary to have Windows instead of 8.1?

May I ask how you decided on the three numbers? I mean, why those number? Were they arbitrarily selected? -
Clickable (by point) Lasso Tool?

+1 for the Alpha Cutter. Use it extensively for photo manipulation. Pro-tip, scale down the photograph if big as it will bog down the plug in. Pro-tip #2, zoom in as close as you to get the line as close as possible for cleaner cut. -

@Ruze, what you can do, though, is use what BoltBait suggested. In the Shape option drop down menu, you can select Draw Filled Shape With Outline. -

@null54 Nope. Crashes again. It looks like it is looking for a directory that doesn't exist. -

This is fantastic work! However, I made it crash. What happened was I painted a bunch of gibberish using two different ABR files in Brush Factory on the default layer. Then I made a new layer, and tried to run Brush Factory again. -

@null54 and @Joshua Lamusga One thing I have observed since updating the Brush Factory with the pull and released version of the plugin is this behavior: When I load the ABR brush for the first time, the pluging goes through the conversion process of the ABR file, and when that does, the plugin window disappear for a second or two and reappear again. I don't know if this a normal behavior, but I thought I would bring this up. If you aren't understanding what I am talking about, I can record a screenshot of it using Parallel tool. -

Perhaps I should be clear. I was refering to a request to have CTRL + brackets to control the brush size. Now, I didn't know about the other combination. I don't recall seeing anything about those shortcut, so more to play with! -

That was a request I made on the previous page, and Null added that. It made a huge difference as I didn't have to spend time fiddling with the slider. -
paint.net 4.1.2 is now available!
TrevorOutlaw replied to Rick Brewster's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Thanks for the update. However, I hate being a pest, but I really appreciate having the shortcut for CTRL+bracket to increase/decrease brush size by 5 pixels (like it used to) without having to leave the canvas and hold down CTRL and repeatedly click on the plus or minus button. I hope this shortcut could be added back as I really miss this feature a lot. -
@kevincrans, here's a hint on how to work in BlendModes+. Copy Layer A to clipboard (Ctrl+A to select all, then Ctrl+C to copy to clipboard), then on Layer B, run BlendModes+ and choose "Copy From Clipboard" and select your blend mode. I have been waiting very patiently for Rick to expand PDN's default blend mode library to incorporate the other blend modes since v 3.5.11.

Actually, Joshua, I would like to have the PDN's control for increasing/decreasing brush radius by using the brackets. I want to be able to paint on the canvas without leaving it to tweak with the Brush Size slider. Use the bracket to increase/decrease by 1 pixel and when ctrl+bracket are used, increase/decrease by 5 pixel. -
