As suggested by Eli you can use TextDistorsion plugin then Rotate / Zoom. I put two dots, one at the beginning and the other at the end of the text, which you can then delete. Use a transparent layer.

I repeated the steps taken with my image and after I hit Enter I received the following error: After adding a layer and drawing something I was able to save the file as .pdn. After I merged the layers I could also only save as .png and not .jpg. On the unmodified image, however, they get the same error. It's a jpg image not too big.

Changing the Quality or the Subsampling does not have any effect.

Rich Text Effect Plugin seems a VERY VERY useful plugin. It reminds me of text pro1.1

I did a test and I did not resize the character and I did not change the resolution. Is 96 dpi default. The printed result is very good.

Ok thanks, I tryed and it works perfect. But I stretched the flipped image to fill entire bottom half part. I never thought that it can smooth the waves.

I'm not sure if I understood correctly your problem. I think you need to cut out shirt with problems and put it in to the other transparent layer. Then play with the colors with Conditional Hue/Saturation and finally put the shirt back in to image.
