  1. I've noticed this too. Also, after "unsticking" by depressing left and right mouse buttons simultaneously while the cursor is on an open part of the canvas, things don't return to a completely normal state. If at this point you zoom in using the toolbar zoom (or if the image was already zoomed in), moving the cursor to the border of the work area (with mouse buttons up) results in panning or scrolling. That's not normal.
  2. Are you using the current version of Paint.NET? (v. 3.5.5)

  7. Paint.Net doesn't have the paste into a selection feature of PSP. One way to accomplish the same end is to open the larger image in its own file, resize it, copy it, and paste it into a new layer in your main project file. You can then position it using the Move Selected Pixels tool.

  11. I'm intrigued by your hat, is that a penguin or what? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/7163/bruz02.png I wasn't hindered by knowing what you look like normally so had more latitude in the edit. Started out covering everything with a filled lasso selection, color-picked from another part of your face. (Spare copy is Layer 4 at the bottom) This was feathered, blurred, had the eye opening trimmed with a soft eraser, blurred more. The upper layers are all about putting back texture, highlights, detail, shading. Here is a download link so the you can examine the layers individually, if you're interested.
