Man !!!! I love what you guys are doing ! These are really great images ! I hope I get the time to work on something. We are in a budget crisis at work and I have been tapped to get everyone together to come up with the ideas on how to make up the budget shortfalls before the Council starts cutting jobs and employees. Stress level is at 110%. I hate politicians, I hate them so very very much. Don't worry though, I won't let that stop me from keeping these comps going. Keep those great images coming ! Possum

I see that the comp ends on the 9th, but what time on the 9th? 24 hours is a long time in Paint.net time. I have mine completed and entered. Still, others might want to know.

@ Kemaru I really enjoyed your light bulb. Very nice effect of the tiles reflecting around the bulb. @ Falken Beautiful image. I really like the mist in the forest, it makes it look very mystical. The planet and moon are just beautiful. @ Olav Very nice explosion effect. I like the one with the planet the best. I really like the texture on the earth type planet. Very nice ! I've not posted anything here in a while since I've been busy with the competitions. I made a marble texture and used it in a table. No, it's fine. Stocks and renders are allowed in this round. Yes, it is a difficult theme. Sometimes that is what we need to push us to get better. Look at the examples and give it a try. You never know until you try.

I think your ship looks awesome. As for my image, I always say, if it's worth doing, it's worth over doing.

unless you draw/paint it all yourself. The only reason I allowed the use of stocks was because this is such a hard theme. It would fall more into the category of surreal art, but that can also considered abstract realism. I know, it's a stretch.

Glad to have you join in. Great job on your entry ! Yellowman has contacted me with the new theme. It's very complicated, so I am taking my time to get examples and get the comp set up.
