That is such an awesome image ! Great job ! I would like to invite everyone to put something together and enter this comp. You only have a couple of days left. Even if you don't enter, I would appreciate it if you would take a look at the great entries we have and maybe even vote when the poll starts.

Abstract of the Week Competition # 6 THEME IS: "Layers" ! Make an abstract image of something that has layers (see description below for more details). Another example might be the layers of a …... use your imagination. Look around you and you will see many things that are made up of layers. Do not confuse this to mean that you can make any kind of image in Paint.net and because your image has layers, that would be acceptable. It would not be. Since it's abstract competition it should be an abstraction of a real object ! Stocks and renders are NOT allowed in this round, so please make your image completely in Paint.net. I better see more entries by then or it will be a cold day in Possumville before you get to see stocks in this comp again!

There's a possum in there? Yes, I forgot about having my picture in there. Looks like I've put on a few pounds. The explosions are stock as well. They are as they appear in the image. I cut them out of an image a long time ago and no longer have the complete image.

@ CSM, I used Apopysis 2.09 (beta) to create the nebulae. The nebulae are all made from several layers of the fractal and clouds using a series of blend modes. @ Chrisco, Thanks !

There are three from the comps, the paper sunflowers, the "made from paper" landscape you can see through the window, and the wood texture from the floor I made in the TOTW #1. The wine glasses were from a piece I did a while back, "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere", where I used Goonfella's tut. There is also a planet texture from a really old space piece I did that I put behind the landscape just to make it look weird. Oh and it could have been me that you saw Apophysis used in a spacescape. I've used it in my last three space pieces for the nebulae and some of the planet textures. Very astute my friend, it's not this planet ! But I'm not from here anyway, but most of you already know that.

When Theme Rules allow, you must post a link to any stocks, renders, images or parts of images you did not create in Paint.net, i.e. fractals created in a fractal generator program or textures created in another program of any kind. All images must be submitted as a thumbnail link to the full size image. DO NOT POST FULL SIZE IMAGES! Minimum size is 800 X 600. There is no maximum size, but keep in mind that people will want to look at your image and if it takes too long to load, they may not wait to look at it. NO PLACEHOLDERS! Do not post an entry until it is a finished product. NO WIPS (works in progress) ! No images previously submitted will be allowed. Thanks ! It's will be over in a couple of weeks. Then in July we get to start on the 2011 budget where we have to cut another 600 thousand out of the budget. I'm so very very tired right now. They voted last night for our building to work 4 10 hour days and off three days. This is really cutting into my PdN time people ! Now, that's funny, I don't care who you are !
