I look at them all the time......sigh, just can't afford one. I'm surrounded by friends who have a wide variety of Smart Phones and would love to have a Blackberry just like this one, or an Android 2 or Droid X or one of the new HTC phones......as long as it's on the network that starts with a V. :lol: Ya know, Christmas is coming up soon, just in case anyone has started shopping for the resident forum possum. I want to thank everyone who entered and everyone who voted. After 8 comps of the Space Art Competition, it's time to put it on hiatus for a little while. Don't worry, the SAC will be back next month with a theme already chosen and waiting to roll out. I have been wanting to try out a comp that I brought up HERE OK, I do want to change it up a little from what I originally described, and I only want it to run for a month or so before I bring back the SAC, but I thought it would be a nice little change of pace and give the photo artists a chance to show their stuff. Anyone up for this?

Great idea on a theme. This is something we have not done yet. Can this also be considered "vector art"? Can we also have shapes included like circles (dots), stars and stuff like that?

I might add that if you have it as a jpg and then save it as a png the white background will probably still be there. So you will need to use the Grim Color Reaper to get rid of the white or you can use the magic wand and then use the feather or AA's Assistant to clean up the excess.

I've noticed that the entire forum has been slow. End of summer blues no doubt.

I really like how the end of the two letters transform into a leaf or plant. Very cool.

With all the schools that are dropping the JROTC & ROTC programs (and the way that some of the more extreme elements in our society try to depict these programs), the fact that you are involved in this program speaks volumes about your character.

Wow, great tip. I have used several types of blurs to overcome this problem, but had never thought of the frosted glass. I'll give that a try.

@ Heat Stroke, I hope you do find the time to enter. It is a lot of fun and gives you a chance to work on an idea (theme) that someone else comes up with. It's really interesting to see the different things people come up with for each theme. @ Psycho Harmonic, Very clever! Made me laugh.

Ah, now that I look again, there is the faintest blush of green on the leaves. How did you get that effect? It's so very subtle.

@ olav, I was thinking gold text as well. I have a font from DAFonts "Faith Collapsing" that would be excellent for a faded worn gold leaf text. @ Barbieq AWESOME ! Another gorgeous jewel and gold. I don't know, but I may just like this one better than the one you used for the AOTW Awards.

Your latest is just stunning. Amazing how much emotion is in a black and white image. The shading is simply wonderful.
