  1. Just to say we are evacuating today and have no clue what power shortages will be like. Hopefully things may be back to somewhat normal by next Saturday when I'm due to do the SOTW poll! We are off with our bare necessities + the cat .
  2. I went back to look at the posts in @welshblue's Rocket tut and my text was still in the editor, but with a message at the bottom which said something like "your text has been restored - click here to clear it". I'm thinking there really are some Gremlins about .
  3. I have been having the same happen to me, but I put it down to forgetting to hit the Submit Reply after using the Preview P.S. I just noticed that a post I made in @Welshblue's 3D Rocket tute yesterday is not there now .
  4. Whilst we wait for a tech there is one more thing I can suggest. Go to OS(C) Program Files Paint.net - and in that folder look for the paint.netRepair.exe and click on that.
  5. Hopefully someone more tech-minded than myself will log on and help you soon. However, until then, can you please tell us what OS system you are using? i.e Windows 10, or 7 or whatever.
  6. Hello @ana an Welcome. It may be a good idea to use this tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall And then download PDN again from here: http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html
  7. The theme this week is – "Night-time" Chosen by – Welshblue (SOTW #172 winner). This week you're challenged to design and create a signature to look like: ‘NIGHT~TIME’ The deadline for entries is 7:00pm (UK time) 2:00pm EST on Saturday 16th of September 2017. To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Competition Rules 1. Max sig dimensions 500 x 200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500 x 150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig. 2. Please keep your sig family friendly. 3. Keep to the theme that has been set. 4. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline! 5. Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous. 6. Your entry must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work. 7. There are multiple entries per entrant allowed. 8 . Don’t add links to larger versions of your signature, your entry should be voted on based on the size laid out in rule #1. Please keep larger versions of your work for your gallery 9. Signatures may be either Horizontal or Vertical. The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering. Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler, Nitenurse79, Chimay, DrewDale & Pixey for keeping this comp going in the past. Previous comps have included the following topics as listed Here compiled by MJW. This list will, perhaps assist future winners with a theme. This thread is for posting your entries only. If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here.
  8. And the winners are: A tie between @Pixey & @welshblue with 10 points each for 1st place And @MadJik places 2nd I tossed a coin for who should choose the next theme and that is @welshblue. I will contact him asap. Many thanks for the entries and votes .
  9. Fabulous tutorial @MadJik. I certainly will get to doing this, but not for a couple of weeks as I have family visiting. Thank you for making this. It's always a revelation for me to use the Shape 3D and I learn more each time .
  10. Hello @Samppu and Welcome to the forum . You may like to take a look at this tutorial. Whilst the images are no longer there (as Photobucket blocked them) the PDF link you can download, has all the images.
  11. Many thanks @Ego Eram Reputo for keeping us updated .
  12. Hello @beepboop (love that name) and Welcome to the forum . Here is another great tut by @yellowman which may be helpful:
  13. Yes, I looked inside - looks like mambo-jumbo to me . Just proves you are a mathematical whizz (as are the others who write this CS stuff.)
  14. Lovely tut @MadJik. You are so clever Why can't I think of these mathematical tricks with Plugins
  15. Great shapes you have there. So intricate and they must have taken some time to make.. P.S. Dang - again I forgot to hit submit a couple of days ago .
  16. Ahhh - thank you @toe_head2001 @welshblue and @MadJik. Now I capiche . If I recall a couple of years ago someone on here discovered this comma thing and helped out @Rick Brewster with a problem that was happening on something else. I think it was either @xod or maybe @Zagna. So, then @Phil E. must be in one of these regions - as he is experiencing this same trouble . At least this now answers his question .
  17. Now I'm really, really confused. If there is a bug, why then is it still working for some of us?
  18. 1. You save the .xmal .xaml to your desktop 2. You then go to: (OS)C Programs paint.net and look for the Shapes folder in there ........ add it to this folder - you can either copy it to there or just put it in there. Your computer may ask for permission. 3. Re-open paint.net. 4. Go to the Shapes - bottom of the Tools click on that. 5. Go to the top of the Tools area and click on the arrow - you should see your shape in the Custom area. 6. Just click on your shape and then draw it with your mouse in a new layer. Use the shift to make it retain its shape.
  19. @Phil E. said - " BTW, Another error: my shape gets messed up when putting into the shapes tool . " Sorry, but this is getting very confusing. It would help a lot if you posted your Phil.xaml on here so we can try it out for ourselves. Your comment above now suggests the shape does make into the Tools area? If so, and you can now see it, it's probably that it wasn't drawn properly. When replying, please take care to differentiate between the Shape Maker and the Shape Tool.
  20. @lynxster4 you are correct ...... I must have forgotten to name the Ghost. It was my very first Plugin pack for Halloween and I remember forgetting to name my shapes at first. @Phil E. - I realize that you seem to know how to make a shape, so forgive me for making the video from scratch, but it may help others at the same time. Oh - also I'd like to mention that sometimes the shapes, once in the Shapes folder, look nothing like you expect until you draw them out. I recall having to look for mine more than once.
  21. It is the fault of .................................
  22. Actually I did not name my Ghost to untitled ............. it must be the software, as it's never done that before. I will make you a video of how to make a simple shape. If I don't finish it tonight, I will by tomorrow .
  23. Hi and Welcome to the Forum . To begin with have you tried the PDNRepair? It is found in: OS(C) - Program Files - Paint. net and scroll down to PDNRepair.exe
