  5. This is what I've got: But isn't diamont plate more like this ? :
  6. Ok for that definition, it's like I thought. But how important is it for a built plugin for PDN? For now, I'm duplicating a source folder to create a new plugin. It means I'm using the same GUID for several DLLs. Since a while, I delete the GUID. What is recommended (for PDN)?
  7. Hi, namespace EffectName { [GuidAttribute("270DCBF1-CE42-411e-9885-162E2BFA8265")] // <== THIS LINE ??? public class EffectName I'm wondering if this line is important in the plugin.cs file. If I delete it, it doesn't seem to affect the DLL's creation. Is that used somewhere (i.e. for DLL registration?) Thanks for answer(s)
  8. If you think of me to be one of this two... I give up for now! Barkbark00 provides a too good result!
  9. Take indication from Flatten layers From Realistic Chrome Text
  10. A quick try for that... 1.A gradient Black/White... 2.Distort/Tile reflection ang.45 / Square.10 / Curvature.20
  11. You don't need to create a hole where to place the picture! Because the subject will take its place over the background picture... Now, if it's really that you have then try to resize the top picture to fit the hole. Don't hesitate to resize the hole also. Basically: Find for each subject a picture with common light and size. It's much better for the result. My example from internet search: http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~wisdom-of-garne ... letroy.jpg http://www.malli-p.de/Mallis_Welt/Bilde ... dford4.jpg Find the best angle for the face to place then cut off the rest. Playing with the layer visibility adjust the hole to fit with the face. => => And finally some level adjustment and some blur to clean it up...
  12. Yes of course... It's not automatic. You need to be patient. Use the magic wand. Use the layers. etc... Basically evreything you have to do depends on the picture you have! My Xmas dog!
  13. Hey, I'm french and my translation of "stroke" seems inappropriate. Could you give an example?
  14. and perhaps in other cases... V3.0 candidate1. When I crop to the selection, the layer window is selecting the bottom layer AND the arrows for layer's move are (grey for UP and blue for DOWN)... should be the other way! This happen as well in other cases when the layer window goes to select the bottom layer.
  15. I have a suggestion concerning only the dll created with the code lab. Could we ask to have them in a codelab submenu... Like this: Could we also have a dialog form when we are creating the dll from the codelab to select an icon? It's a logical way to reduce the effects menu.

  19. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it A way to create a chaos of ice... The final picture could be compare to ice broken on the surface of a lake, or on the ice-barrier. This is what we want to achieve: Before start we need the plugins: Flip select : http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2325 Color tint : http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2085 1. Start with a new layer 800x600. Create a gradient from side to side dark gray or black to white. 2. With the differents selection tools, select parts of the images and flip the selection horizontaly or verticaly or both to cut and mix the gradiant. a. Ellipse select + flip both b. Lasso select + creating like a web selection + flip both c. Continue till you've find some chaos you like. 3. Then duplicate the layer and press F4 to set the blend mode to overlay. 4. Go to menu Layer/Rotate/Zoom and zoom about to 1.40x 5. Select the bottom layer and apply a zoom blur on it to have the line jointed to the top layer (between 60-80px). On the screenshot while you are increasing the zoom amount you could see the blue line moving to the red one. You haven't to be too precise... 6. Select the top layer and press F4 to set the blend mode to negation. And flatten the picture (ctrl+shift+F). 7. Duplicate the layer and apply a gaussian blur (4px). 8. Apply now the frosted glass effect (2 to 4px). 9. Still on the top layer, press F4 to set the blend mode to lighten. 10. Flatten the picture (ctrl+shift+F). 11. Apply the Ed Harvey's color tint effect to choose a light blue-green. That's finished! It's time to drink a good hot chocolate.
