There are many reasons for this type of behavior. 4G of RAM is definitely on the low side. If you can increase that, I would. It could also be caused by other software you have running, like Outlook? (a known memory hog) Or, maybe your antivirus software is being too aggressive. Try whitelisting your Paint.NET directories.

And... there’s your answer.

Paint.NET does not use color profiles when loading/displaying images. It simply shows you the raw colors without adjustment. I don't believe there are any plans to add color profile support to Paint.NET.

Paint.NET does not ship with any fonts. It simply uses the fonts that are already installed on your PC.

After several complaints, I have removed your icon. You may replace it with something that ISN'T animated.
