  1. You can use the wand to select the white color background, since most of your images have white BG it will take you a lot less clicks, just magic wand, and delete and thats it, its transparent. also you can use an "hybrid"solution with https://www.remove.bg/ , Remove the BG for your image using the onjline service then open it in Paint.NET Resize it to your original dimensions Select magic wand SHIFT+Click on the transparent background Copy the selection Open your original image PASTE to new layer (the TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND you go
  2. very helpful comment anonypiss, british perhaps?, for starters it is not perfect by any means, plus lacks tons of validations needed here to be of any use, also who said anything about it being useful to me, cant you read? users are going to send me many images, most of them images of online forms.
  3. not sure if this is the case, if I open the image by itself using firefox (after using save as... from firefox) then the image does not display as original, here is the link of one of the cases: if you open it in firefox shows blue-ish colors then save image as... open it in firefox, shows dull black colors open it in paint dot net, same black colors but if you copy the image instead of saving, then paste it on new paint net document, save the file then you can open it in firefox or paint and it will show the correct blue colors
  4. I want to open an image for edition using paint.Net the image comes from the web and I am using firefox, if I save the image using SAVE IMAGE AS then when I open it, the colors don't match, if I select COPY IMAGE and then paste to new image in paint.net, then It shows correct colors, this maybe is a problem with firefox and not paint.net, how do you think I can solve this, as the images are going to be sent to me by users, they just want to save image and send it to me, We don't want them to be opening an editor to paste image then save and send to me (I wouldn't care but their manager may a
  5. If you had read carefully you will notice It is not the same question, in fact the previous is not even a question, user says it is an inconvenience to him, not asking anything about it except after his second reply asking if THERE WAS a DRAFT quality setting, mine is a question asking if it is possible to change the slider behavior, so no not same question at all, as the answer given to him does not answer mine, also you say it was not added, mr obvious if it was already added I would have not asked if it was possible to add it. btw the developer did a great work and in fact added
  6. I came looking for the "image information "feature and it looks like is not going to happen any time soon if ever, many points have been mentioned like: metadata information on a file you are editing will be changed so no need for it : still one may like to see the opened file info, not the realtime one so you can make edition or saving choices based on those metatag) you can use system properties : of course you can, you can also use photoshop, or an hexeditor or Krita and look for information that way, the thing is it would be much practical to do it from your current
  7. Is it possible to add a setting or change the behavior of the slider? I would like the effect to start working on the preview once I release the slider not while I am still moving it (it results in many attempts in a large image from when I start sliding it to when I finish sliding it), if you could change the behavior to start working once you release the slider the plugin UI would be more responsive.
  8. hey zak how did you do the eyes effect? i have been trying with gradient bars/3d shape combo then cutting but looks so unreal, also smudge didnt help.
  9. i read that it has a batch feature, but i cant seem to findout how to use it or if it still exists in latest scriptlab version, any help here would be appreciated. i intend to apply some settings to a series of images (say around 200)
  10. hi, i would like to know if possible and how can we do something like what was done to this xbox image using paint.net thank you in advance! http://walyou.com/img/xbox-mods-gears-of-war-3.jpg
  11. i downloaded this and it makes script lab crash like this: File: C:\Archivos de programa\Paint.NET\Effects\ScriptLab.dll Effect Name: pyrochild.effects.scriptlab.ScriptLab Full error message: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added. at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentException(ExceptionResource resource) at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKey key, TValue value, Boolean add) at pyrochild.effects.scriptlab.ConfigDialog..ctor() at pyrochild.effects.scriptlab.ScriptLab.get_Dialog() at pyrochild.effects.scriptlab.ScriptLab.Cr
  12. well yes thats what i was talking about, if only someone could put that search in the dropdown effects menu =P even like this is very useful , thanks a lot.
  13. is it "doeable" incodelab? or would it need to be added by paint.net developers?
  14. i currently have a lot of plugins, and sometime following a tutorial is difficult because i cant fin the effect in the menus, sometimes it is obvious but sometime it isnt, is there any such plugin that would allow me to type the first letters of the effect i am looking for and letting paint.net find it for me? (like a quick search in vista start menu to find programs) that would save a lot of time and i am sure everyone would benefit from it thank you
  15. it so many effects now that sometimes is hard to locate one you find in a tutorial, many times you arelady have it installed, but dont know where it is located sometimes its not even in the effects menu but on the adjustments menu so it sould be great if anyone with sctipr knowledge or pdn scripting could add some kind of search box at the top of the effects menu , that when you start typing the effect (like DRO...) shows any effect containing those words in its name. it would be lovely, thank you.
