  1. It is impossible to convert from RGB to CMYK and have the image unchanged. Certain colors in RGB do not exist in CMYK. For example Blue (#0000FF) does not exist in CMYK. I think that the implementation that I did gives a fairly accurate representation of what the image will look like when printed. The only thing I can think is that they are doing some type of dithering... my effect is pixel-by-pixel translation. If they are using a dithering technique, it may be possible to get a more accurate color representation. However, this would not be a strict RGB to CMYK conversion.
  2. Sorry, I forgot to put my sarcasm tag up there. Fixed. Seriously, Rick is not a Mac programmer. He has no interest in making a Mac version. Not even for $5,000. The source code to Paint.NET is available for download, so if you are feeling ambitious, you can tackle the job yourself... and charge people when you're done--the license agreement permits this.
  3. Sure, I'd "consider" it. PM me and I'll send you my PayPal address. Hope you enjoyed your consideration. [/sarcasm]
  4. All plugins are DLL files and therefore need to be copied to your Effects folder. (That is, unless they are filetype plugins. Tha'sa whole nother thang.) I see you have "feather.dll" in there. Does "feather" show up under Effects > Blur > Feather ?
  5. OK, you need to download this file: http://mkt.t-cat.biz/pdn/dl.cgi?mode=dl ... 3D_1_2_4_2 Which will download Shape3D_1_2_4_2.zip save it to your desktop. After it is finished downloading, click the Open button (or double click on the Shape3D_1_2_4_2.zip file) This will open a window that lists a single file: Shape3D.dll you need to copy that file to your Effects folder.
  6. Everything looks good there. Let's see what's in your "Effects" folder.
  7. She may not see the file type... If you can't see file types, go to My Documents: Make sure the check box is unchecked, then click "Apply to all folders" and "OK".
  8. Perhaps, next time you could let people know that when you post the image.
  9. Add a new layer, draw the shape that you want to select, use the magic wand to select the shape, turn off the visibility of your new layer, switch to your target layer and use the selection.
  10. Thanks for the "heads-up". You're right. I just tried out a couple of different skins (I prefer subSilver) and had to fix my sig to show properly too. And, I think I'll edit my image (when I get a chance) to show up better on the totally black one.
  11. Is this the pose you are looking for: Or, like this: I just did a quick GIS for "hard rock horns".
  12. Nice. In my opinion, your sig image should be clickable and should take you to CMD sketchpad.
  13. If you want to make a 3D sketch, it might be wise to use a 3D sketching program, such as SketchUp from Google: http://sketchup.google.com
  14. Yeah, that's just a fancy way of saying that light is bouncing back and forth between the layers of glass in a lens.
  15. Don't worry, I won't tell her that they are actually the light scattered in lens systems through generally unwanted image formation mechanisms, such as internal reflection and scattering from material inhomogeneities in the lens. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lens_flair
  16. Heh. On my camera, lens flair is hexagon shaped... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40040430/
  17. What do you mean by "real". Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a cartoon, and doesn't really look to real to me. Are you saying that you want to put the characters on a "real" background? Or, do you want to Google Image Search some real pictures of fries and a coke and draw faces on them? Or, something completely different?
  18. If thats the case, I would do what BB said. Google it. Open in PDN. Add new layer. Trace it with out line, then make simple coloring. Damn, I was just about to post that exact instruction.
  19. Funny, I always try to avoid lens flair when taking a photograph. Why would I want to add one on purpose?!
  20. Have you tried searching Google images? http://images.google.com/ Try searching for "hands" and you might find what you're looking for.
  21. Also, it might be possible that there is a selection active and you're trying to draw a line outside of that selection. Before drawing a line, press ESC to deselect any active selection.
  22. Post a link to a Photoshop tutorial and someone here will help you translate it to Paint.NET.
  23. I have an idea... don't "clean" your pictures. Problem solved! Sounds to me that the "cleaner" does not save jpg files according to the standard. Why should Paint.NET open jpg files that do not conform to the standard? Answer: it shouldn't.
