  1. Heh. This is one of my favorite threads. And, I'm sure I will contribute to it again.
  2. Well, when someone goes into my personal gallery, I don't want it to take an hour to load the first page.
  3. Please don't pack your first post with every single picture you've ever done. It makes it hard for someone to nominate and for us to promote your picture to the galleria. When you make new stuff, just post again on your own thread.
  4. Just use your "web site" button. Or, put it into your signature.
  5. For colored glow around objects (including text) you could use the Outline Object plugin in my plugin pack: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22819 Just select your primary color as the color of the glow you want before running the plugin.
  6. Try the conditional hue / saturation plugin: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1102
  7. ... well, I guess you can't please everyone. [sigh]
  8. All plugins in this pack were compiled against Paint.NET version 3.20.
  9. Most plugins are written in C#. Read this thread for CodeLab (a compiler for Paint.NET plugins): viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1096 It also includes links to 3 tutorials to get you started. If you want to write a plugin in VB.NET, then look at this template: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=23004
  10. While the users of this forum are good, they're not psychic. You'll have to give them something to go on... like what specific error message you're seeing, or why you believe it won't install.
  11. Before posting again, please read the rules: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446 Then, edit your post and fix the errors. BTW, most of those pictures can be created with Paint.NET with just a little expirence.
  12. You might try cloning from one layer to another, then use the feather plugin. There is also this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=22096 which might give you some ideas.
  13. Too much shouting, not enough content. You can read the forum rules here: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446
  14. It will open some time on Friday... whenever one of us gets off his lazy behind and opens it. There is no possible way to predict what GMT that will be.
  15. Thanks for this plugin. While difficult to use, I was able to change a photo of one of my kids from not smiling to smiling. This made my wife happy. (It always seems that when taking a family photo at least one of the kids is not smiling.) BTW, I did see some random pixels come up while I was sliding the top slider around. They did not show up at all percentages, and when I saw some I just changed the slider + or - one to get rid of them.
  16. If you need help installing plugins, please read this page: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install
  17. Typically we use CodeLab to create plugins. Read this post here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1096 It includes 3 links to tutorials to help you get started. Good luck!
  18. Actually, my plugin pack also includes an Outline Object plugin. pyrochild's has more features, but mine draws a better looking outline. @Jordan C King: There is a file attachment in my first post that contains my plugins.
  19. No, that is not available in Paint.NET yet. However, it is on the roadmap for a future version (4.0+). While you wait for 4.0, you can use the Alpha Mask Import plugin: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=23203 where you can load an alpha mask from a file. I know it is not as convient as a layer, but its a start!
  20. I fixed your title. Let's keep it nice, OK? One way to paint a car is to take the car image and desaturate it. (That is, turn it black and white.) Then create a layer on top of the (now) black and white car. Using the paint brush, paint over where the car is. Then, finally, change the blending mode of the layer for desired results.
  21. Rick has added some plugins to his official download. My Ink Sketch effect and my Soften Portrait effect was included--just check the about box. You may want to read Rick's blog post here: http://blog.getpaint.net/2008/02/24/jus ... e-cowbell/
