We're going to need a little more information from you in order to determine what is wrong. What format are you saving images from paint.net (on the File > Save As screen)? Can you zip up a sample image you've edited in paint.net that doesn't work in Expression Web 4 and post it here? (This is a family-friendly forum, please be sure that the image is family-friendly.) As for the hoops necessary to create an account... this forum is very popular. We used to get 100 to 150 spammers per day posting dozens of threads each. With our hurdles, we're down to 1 to 2 per day. I think we'll keep them.

This is a known issue that Rick Brewster (the only author of paint.net) knows about. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/109003-can-the-circle-tool-be-improved/ He will fix it eventually. Be patient.

Actual paint? Now, that's a compliment! New plugin, of course! I have the steps down. But, coding it will be a bear. It will be my most complicated plugin ever. It will take me a while to get it done.

My suggestion is to run PdnRepair.exe which is located in your paint.net directory. See if that fixes the problem.

When you download DLL files from the Internet using IE, they are blocked by default. You need to unblock the DLL files for paint.net to use them.

This is an option of drawing a gradient. If you don't want it, disable anti-aliasing when drawing a gradient: So, you can see, this is not a bug. The software is working as designed. ____________

This install shouldn't affect your installed effects. When I installed it, I thought the same thing. But, I went into the Effects folder and right clicked on the missing effect's DLL files and "unblocked" the individual files, everything showed up fine.

The built-in effect "Effects > Noise > Reduce Noise" shows this error. Click on the strength slider. Press up arrow one at a time until you reach 0.57. Press up arrow again. Notice the slider stays at 0.57. Press it one more time and notice it jumps to 0.59.

I'm pretty sure this has to do with the inaccuracy of converting from binary to floating point numbers. There are just some numbers the computer doesn't like. I seem to recall posting about this once before. Let's see if I can find it...

paint.net doesn't call OnSetRenderInfo unless one of the UI values have changed.

That would be awesome, but it is not how the circle works (at least for now). However, what you can do is draw a circle and before committing it to the canvas, you can adjust the size and placement of that circle.
