Simon Brown
One of my favourite features of Firefox and Notepad++ is the ability to automatically load the state of the application when it last closed when the program starts. This minimises effort when re-continuing a project after closing the program. I am requesting this feature in Paint.NET where I would find this even more useful, particularly as the program has to be closed when installing effects. I like this idea. Seconded, if it's not too much trouble. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Mike Ryan
I want this feature as well, but much like how Opera manages it. Save your sessions and let reorganize. This would be very cool!

LFC4EVER
This would be very cool and useful. I also agree with this idea, but it should be optional like Andrew said. Quote ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::.
Myrddin
Would history and effect variables be retained also? If so, that would be fantastic. If not, even loading the last opened image/s would be most handy indeed.
