Is there a way that I could take a tutorial with C++ instead of C#? Unless C# is pretty much like C++.

There is a C++ dotNet that could be used to write plugins (in theory), but to my knowledge nobody has done that yet, so you would be on your own.

C# is similar in many ways to C++, and in my opinion much easier for this type of programming. If you know C++, C# is not difficult to pick up, and there are a large number of C# examples on this forum.

Total hack.

It's a Paint.NET plugin.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

It's in Effects, no submenu.

You're sure it's in C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects?

You're sure it's unzipped and unblocked?

'Cause that's where it appears on mine...

You're running PdN 3.22?

You restarted Paint.NET?

Yeah. CodeLab only works on version 3.22. And so does this forum. Upgrade now, please.

See, that's exactly the type of pointless dialogue that The Rules are designed to eliminate.

Yes, but I fear you will be dissappointed if you expect people to read the rules before they post for the first time. It's like expecting a puppy to be house-trained the minute it is born... When it pee's on the floor, it is still frustrating, but it's not the puppies fault :)

Of course, when that same puppy pee's on the floor when it is 6 months old... well... then you just have a dumb puppy :x

Total hack.

Not reading the rules is not an excuse to break them. Don't be ridiculous. At the top of the forum it says, "FORUM RULES" in very visible red text. We are not puppies.
