BoltBait
I've already been dangerously over my bandwidth quota for 2 months of this calendar year so far. I thought that was due to the source code downloads. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Rick Brewster
The first month (January I think) was due to something quirky with Coral Cache. Last month went over quite a bit as well. I'm not sure why you're against this change. Mr Frojo
I think it will be fine without a help file. Paint.net is really easy to learn. It will cut down bandwidth a ton. Quote I'm still alive!

Rick Brewster
I think it will be fine without a help file. Paint.net is really easy to learn. It will cut down bandwidth a ton. The help file is not being removed. It is simply being moved to online-only. The local copy (the files on your computer) just won't be installed. BoltBait
I'm not against the change. In fact, when I release my Dominoes 2.0 I'll be doing the same thing. Thanks for the idea. I just want you to make the decision based on the right information. lukadad
i think you can make this optional in the installer and create a separate installer which will be used by the people who thought of installing the help files later.

gugs
I don't know. I don't use the help file that much but sometimes it is handy to find some info... and don't forget Murphy, I will really NEED the help file twice a year, and at that moment I will be without a connection and my life will depend on the picture I produce (just kidding). But these things are happening, so maybe a good thing would be to give the option to download the help file separately, for those who want/need to work offline and might need the info. Cokemonkey11
I didn't, but if I ever needed anything I probably would.
kokodom
Well it looks pretty clear to me: I think for this month's update I'll move the help file to the website, and thus Paint.NET will be just a 1.2 MB download from now on That would fit on a floppy disk. Not nice . I read the help file and some new users will too who can't always be online. Make a download pack for a local copy separately. If downloaded and installed, you get a local copy, otherwise you're linked to the online copy. Give new slow coaches like me a chance. We'll get there too someday.
