burchis
Can someone make me a road map? I have downloaded the plugin index and found the plugin that I want within the index but now what? For example, the plugin is titled 'align object', the topic number is 4193 (what's this?), the author is moc426, and a description. So armed with this information I do what? Thanks,
barbieq25
Go to the Plugins page & click on Plugins Index which should give you the choice of searching for plugins by name or by author . Click on show Hidden Content. Click on Align Object - moc426. Download the Zip file at the bottom of the post (Zip File). Inn the plugins thread there is instructions on how to install the plugins. You must install them not just download them. I hope this helps. Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. Ego Eram Reputo
Sounds like you've downloaded the PDF file. This is intended as a lookup reference to what is available in the world of paint.net plugins. 1. Use the forum Plugin Index to locate the thread for the plugin you want (the name of the plugins are clickable - so should take you right to the thread). 2. From the correct thread, locate the link to the ZIP file (usually in the first post). Occasionally there is a link to an offsite URL where the plugin can be found. 3. Download the file. Now you need to unzip it and move it to the right location. This thread might help Alternatively (and possibly clearer because of more detail) is this page on BoltBait's site: https://boltbait.com/pdn/InstallingEffects.php Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
burchis
Thanks for the help. Clicking on 'hidden content' reveals the thread that contains link to download the plugin. I would be lost without user forums.
