Verfassergeist
Hi there. I've been creeping on the forum for a couple of days now, and I think I have a question. I wanted to take a photo, say, of a generic fish, and then fit the text to outline, making the fish out of text, and not just overlaying the text. Does anybody know where I could find a tutorial that could point me in the right direction? Or maybe some tips or an idea as to how to go about it? Djisves
Me thinks you do have a question. Do you want to make the fish fill your text? Do you only want the fish inside the outline of your text? If so… What you need is the Alpha Mask Import Plugin by Illnab1024. Here, is a good how-to quick guide on how to use it by Sarkut. Where he says to use the paintbrush, use your text instead. And here’s a tutorial by m2lucky on how to use Alpha mask to make a similar effect on text. Go about halfway down the first post, where you’ll find an update with the use of Alpha Mask. P.S.: m2lucky’s tutorial uses an older version of the plugin. Using the current version of the plugin you do not have to import your mask image. You only have to copy it to the clipboard and tick the “Paste from clipboard” option in the plugin dialogue box. Ego Eram Reputo
Have a look at this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8646-another-ascii-art-file-type-plugin/ . It creates an ascii version of your image - straight out of the 80's! This may not be what you're looking for if you want to have control of the actual text content.
