Sarkut
In the menu at the top right, click on Window. Remove the checkmark from Translucent. The Gadwin freeware is my usual screenshot tool. No problem, so long as the windows aren't set to Translucent. Sarkut
Bad luck there. Do the floating windows disappear when you press Print Scrn on the keyboard?
Jase Byrne
*growls* Doesnt matter..it's weird,Tools and History windows stay up,all the other palettes disappear. Sarkut
Do the floating windows disappear when you press Print Scrn on the keyboard? If the floating windows don't disappear when you press Print Scrn, you can press Ctrl + Alt + V after Print Scrn to capture the screenshot in Paint.NET. Other than that, maybe changing the Gadwin configuration for delayed capture will work. There is no provision for locking the windows in the way that you mean. Jase Byrne
All right Sarkut thanks for all your help. Here's how it solved. I treid the TARDIS method of solving this one...randomly slamming buttons at random. Be frelled (yes Im mixin metaphor's here) if it didn't work. Turns out that in order to get a shot of the other ghosting windows, you have to have something IN the workspace. You cannot get a screen shot of the other windows unless they are in use. Unlike GIMP or Pshop. SO...if someone wants a screen shot of the color wheel or anything else, you have to have a new filled layer in the workspace. Neato. Thanks for the help. Rick Brewster
Try using a different screen capture program, like maybe my favorite, Window Clippings. Ego Eram Reputo
The tool windows stay visible if I capture with CTRL + PrtScrn. Why not just use that?
