flip
If you use the Half Sphere map and increase the depth radius, it turns out okay. Or you can use the lens plugin. Quote Gallery

Gamer_World14
How do you make a sun? I can't find any good tuts... how to make a sun in photoshop. From there, you can search for tutorials, and then try figuring out how to re-create it in PDN. Quote deviantART | Paint.NET Gallery | bennettfrazier.com <-- (My new Website!) LibbyH
I also like the effect of the planet tut with oranges and yellows, and then use dents to texture it. Quote My Gallery
flip
I'm going to re-do this tutorial. I've found a lot of different ways to make textures, and better 3d effects. Quote Gallery
theonlychad
The tutorial is pretty good as is . You could always leave it as is and add too it Quote "Clearly it's a very serious and literal meaning. flip
I don't think it's very good. If it was good, it would get a lot more attention. Quote Gallery

flip
You :GaussianBlur: it. Fill in OUTISDE of the planet, and then select the outside and delete it... Quote Gallery
sarubotai
i am guessing that is Guassian Blur because apparently i dont have that kind of icon :? it still isnt turning out... well i guess it's just me thnx for the help

PancakePaint
i am guessing that is Guassian Blur because apparently i dont have that kind of icon :? yeah it's gaussian blur. It changed because of the new update, 3.51... and all the icon graphics changed. Quote Using Paint.net for 5 months.

flip
When you blur the outside of the planet, you don't want anything selected. After it's done blurring, select the outside of the planet and press delete on the blurred layer. Make sense? Or more clarification. sarubotai
ah! thnx that made more sense. i guess i was getting confused with what i select and maybe there made my mistake. yet... i still couldnt get throught the full tutorial (i never really follow tutorials to the end because i dont get similar results) so i tweeked it (like i always do with other tutorials) and this is what i got  i just messed with the layer options and the color thin Really a brilliant tutorial

flip
Well, I draw a blob with a bunch of different colors and use the the align object plugin to put it in the middle. Then use zoom blur deluxe a bunch and move it to where I want. Quote Gallery

Trinitym
Hi, I tried this and here is my result - I had some trouble with the glow part. For some reason I didn't really understand it, but I think I was having several stupid moments. I shall have another go later and see if I can do any better.
