Raptor_101 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) This is where I'll post all of my sigs., wallpapers, aircraft designs, and other stuff at. You'll notice I'm a prolific sig. maker that is still improving. 100% PDN. Newest work(s): Signatures and avatars: Hidden Content: (Sotw sig. The theme was weapons as you can tell.) (Edited version for lighter forums) (I actually used the smudge tool for the first time on this one.) Edited the V-wing sig a bit. Mainly darkened. (This one is better on a dark forum) (This one I did a while back when I was still just looking here at tutorials. It's a mixture of the Pyro sig. and another one which I can't remember the name of.) Aircraft Designs: (Since I love designing aircraft, the ones I make on the computer will go here.) Goonfella Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Wow ! There`s some great stuff there. I love the Raptor wallpaper. This is one gallery to keep an eye on. Keep it up. Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN
Raptor_101 Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 Hey thanks. I messed up on that wallpaper. I may redo it if I can find the original file. Quote
Terminal_Velocity Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I like the first large image under large/assorted images. Where did you get the font? Quote
Lance McKnight Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I am glad to see somebody in here that loves aircraft. As a personal preference, my favorite fighter jet of choice would be the F-22 Raptor. In fact, I had a quite collection of books on aircraft of the world, but I got rid of them. Now for some critiques....your space themed sig looks very good, but I could see where you tried to erase a portion of the cloud. Try to not make it so obvious. Your bald eagle photo manipulation looks good (and bald eagle is my favorite bird of all time). Your aircraft design looks good. It makes me wonder if you tried to copy an existing plane or something you created yourself? I agree with Goon, this is one gallery to keep an eye on, and try to move beyond sig. It seem too many folks in this forum is too focused on sigs. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day.
oma Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 great stuff in your gallery I like the aircraft section the best. That is very different from what others are doing. actually everything look wonderful. I'll be checking back often to see how you progress as you are off to a very fine start already. ciao OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
Raptor_101 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Hey thanks all. Terminal Velocity I'm not sure exactly where I got the font, but I bet you can check at dafont.com for the Evanescent font I used. Storm.Shadow: The F-22 is one of my most favorite aircraft (lol hence my username). I have a few books on aircraft and they include the Raptor. Yeah the space sig. didn't come out unfortunately. I should have feathered the area more. I had cut it out from overlaying two stock cloud pics. and I rotated it to conform a little with the planet and I didn't notice it looking like that even though it was blatantly obvious. The Bald Eagle is my favorite bird and animal. What aircraft design are you talking about? The LiB-32 was both inspired by an intake design I thought up a while back (hence the large area in the front curving back to the engine's nozzle.) and a little from the MiG-25 Foxbat interceptor both with it's large engine and the wide body. Thank you OMA. I don't know if there are many people here that like jets, but designing aircraft is something I want to pursue so that is why I've done drawings on the computer. (Actually most of my drawings are on paper. I have tons too.) Quote
HELEN Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 I haven't been ignoring your gallery, my computer is working really slow. I want to say that your work is beyond "good;" it's GREAT. I don't mind the aircraft you're drawing in PDN at all; I think it's cool. 8) Quote Don't spit into the well, you might drink from it later. -----Yiddish ProverbGlossy Galaxy Ball---How to Make FoliageMy Gallery PDN Fans--My DA
Sharp Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 That first sig is nice, good way to replicate PS-style sigs Quote [Glass Ball Tutorial] [My Gallery] [starscape Tutorial] [My Sig Tutorial] [My dA]
Raptor_101 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 HELEN: Thank you very much. It's easy to draw things in PDN i've learned. I'm not sure if it's easier than PS, but it sure is simple. Sharp: Thanks. I did no brushing if you're wondering. Quote
Raptor_101 Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Ok I edited that sig. Maybe not up to everyone's expectation, but oh well. Quote
KillerK Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Love them all Whats that brush you use to do the little blue and black splatters towards the bottom of the image? Quote
Raptor_101 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 KillerK: Just the cloud plugin being edited with the Curves+ plugin. I did a vertical tag for once and for the first time there is actual smudging going on. Quote
Raptor_101 Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 I have to say the wallpaper turned out nice. Just little things I could have done to make it better, but oh well. Comments on anything anyone? Quote
Raptor_101 Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Definitely not my best sig. I made it for a Sotw in my small amount of spare time this past week. Quote
piratemonkeyfromkong Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Quote It's so hard to make a sig that fits in the size requirements, *sigh* My photobucket
Raptor_101 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 A photo manip. of a pic. from the new Star Trek movie. Yeah the stock was a jpg so I couldn't get around the jpg artifacts ruining it a bit, but otherwise I like it still. Quote
flip Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Your stuff is awesome. I love how you use different fill patterns... Quote Gallery
Raptor_101 Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Sorry I have to ask. Fill paterns? Thanks otherwise. I did a new aircraft design today that is based off of a design seen in Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines. It's still a WIP, but it's getting closer to completion. Quote
Raptor_101 Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 I finished up the aircraft design today and I'd like to see some more C&C for my works since I've updated it often. Quote
Goonfella Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I think the line drawings of the aircraft designs are superb! The new concept vehicle is excellent. Keep it up. Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN
Raptor_101 Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Thanks Goonfella. I'm planning on doing another, maybe starting today. I'm basically revisiting drawings I did and I'm doing them on the comp. and making them better. Quote
Lance McKnight Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Good work there, Raptor! That looks awesome. One thing I would change is the image size. The rule states that the images must be 800 x 600 pixels. You can link to a larger image. Quote Officially retired from this forum. Have a nice day.
Raptor_101 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 New Sotw sig. I did. the theme was aviation so it wasn't too hard. The only thing though I couldn't really fix was the render since I downsized it and it caused it to get a little pixelated. Quote
Raptor_101 Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 Alrighty. I made a new one today. I went for the Star Trek log look, but with my own little differences put in there. Here's the original: The edited one is in the first post. (Edit: You can definitely see why it's meant for dark colored forums. Some of the glows can't show up on the one in this post and I guess one of the layers is showing that is not meant to be showing.) Quote
