jake2k Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 First off I'd like to thank anyone who helped in the creation of this great program. It's been so much fun messing around with it, all I had before was M$ Paint . Any way heres some of the stuff I've made with paint.net so far: enjoi Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
Crazy Man Dan Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Good stuff! I think this one's my favorite: I love the soft white moulding with the metal frame. Plus excellent shading throughout to really make it look 3D. I look forward to seeing more of your creations! jake2k Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 the conker one was a request from someone and they wanted a smiley, imo it looks better without but then again it wasnt made for me thanks for all the compliments Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
jake2k Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h34/_jake2k_/Sigs/conkerpng.pngHow did you do the background? im not that good at describing things but i'll try [*:743c7]make a black layer [*:743c7]cut the layer in the design you want(i went with a sunbeam look) [*:743c7]gaussian blur at 5(or untill edges are smooth) [*:743c7]make a new layer under the black one [*:743c7]apply whatever color or pattern you want(i used the narrow horizontal fill style with black and red as my colors) [*:743c7]enjoi Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
trickman Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 But i want to know how you did the sunbeam look Quote
Crazy Man Dan Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 You could probably use the Lasso to cut out the pattern. Also, you could put lines on a scrap layer in the pattern you want, select it with the magic wand, invert it, then cut it out. jake2k Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 i just select the line tool with white, draw out the design, then fill it in and use the magic wand to delet the selected white area leaving the design in black... if that makes any sense Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
jake2k Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 here's another one i just made for this forum: Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
