BlazinBalake2
Was working on two files the other night and one opens just fine but the other gives me this error message: Exception: System.FormatException: file is not a valid paint.net document at PaintDotNet.Document.FromStream(Stream stream) in D:\src\pdn\src_4_3_x\Data\Document.cs:line 1344 at PaintDotNet.Data.PdnFileType.OnLoad(Stream input) in D:\src\pdn\src_4_3_x\PaintDotNet\Data\PdnFileType.cs:line 33 at PaintDotNet.FileType.Load(Stream input) in D:\src\pdn\src_4_3_x\Data\FileType.cs:line 491 at PaintDotNet.Functional.Func.Eval[T1,TRet](Func`2 f, T1 arg1) in D:\src\pdn\src_4_3_x\Fundamentals\Functional\Func.cs:line 60 I can tell from the thumbnail that the file is saved. This file is days of work and I would be so thankful for a solution! Thank you!
toe_head2001
This usually happens when some accidentally saves a PNG file with a .PDN file extension. Please try to rename the file. If that doesn't fix the issue, feel free to post the file so we can inspect it. Quote (September 25th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. BlazinBalake2
Yeah that didn't work unfortunately. How would I go about posting the file because it says it's too big to attach to this response? Thank you so much for the help though!

Zip it and upload it to an external file hosting service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc), then post a link here.
