Rick Brewster
0xC0000409 is STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN. This may indicate some kind of hardware failure, such as memory going bad, or maybe corrupted system files (which could be a failing hard drive). Solution toe_head2001 Posted September 3, 2023 Solution Share Posted September 3, 2023 Who knows if you actually have a hardware issue? Maybe you do, maybe you don't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Perhaps you just bypass that error in standard installer by using the offline installer. https://github.com/paintdotnet/release/releases/latest If the offline installer fails, then yeah, you must have bigger issues to deal with. Perhaps you'll need to run chkdsk, or even replace some hardware components. Quote (September 25th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.
