Hasan Tahsin
Hi everyone, When I want to create a new file, I always see 800x600 pixels. Is there any way I can change this standard? For example, I want to change this size to 1920x1080 (with nothing previously copied from the clipboard). Whenever I want to create a new file, I always want it to be like this. So I want to change the standard. Thanks. Respects
BlastOfBN
From my knowledge and experience, there is currently no way to change the default starting resolution of an image in Paint.NET at the moment. So at the time being, you’ll have to manually set the resolution for an image.
Solution Red ochre Posted February 12 Solution Share Posted February 12 Hello @Hasan Tahsin welcome to the forum. This is a viable work-around: 1. create a blank file 1920 by 1080 pixels and save it as a .pdn file. Close Paint.net. 2. right-click on the desktop and select new > shortcut. 3. Enter the location of the file you created at 1. and give the shortcut a relevant name. 4. To open paint.net just double click the shortcut. 2 Quote Red ochre Plugin pack.............. Ego Eram Reputo
The default canvas size is 800 x 600 pixels scaled by the system DPI setting, or the size of any image contained in the clipboard. If you don't want to use a clipboard image, then creating a *.PDN template the way @Red ochre suggested is the way to go. One addition might be to set the file as Read Only so you don't accidentally overwrite it. Right click the file > Properties > General > Read-Only checkbox (checked) 1 1 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
