There was an error opening the file .dds

i reinstalled my pc recently and installed paintNET 5.0 and i tried opening one of dds files and this is the error that i get, which i did not get in my previous window.

 

"System.FormatException: The DDS file is invalid.

That DDS file is a PNG with a .dds file extension.
