can't open paint.net

I've been using paint.net perfectly fine for a month. It was even working last night. When I tried to open it today, nothing happens. I can see in task manager that it opens for a split second before immediately disappearing. I tried the PdnRepair.exe tool and it doesn't seem to do anything, the CMD prompt comes up but instantly disappears without any text coming up. Where can I find some information to help troubleshoot, or does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Yeah I gave my computer a restart, still the same issue.

In that case, I recommend doing lots of Windows Updates until there aren't any more pending updates.  Then, do one final reboot and try Paint.NET again.

I'll do this, but perhaps it's worth mentioning that my computer shutdown yesterday while it was on due to a power outage. But when I turned my computer on after the outage, paint net worked fine. I'll let you know if installing updates and restarting works.

Microsoft update kinda screwed some of my apps for whatever reason, but paint net works again. Thank you

My computer also just turned off because of power outage, and paint.net wasn't launching for like 10 minutes and administrative rights. That's some kind of paint net problem
