Hello,

 

I'd like to take the image of the Christmas lights and make it conform to the curve of the green line. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get it to work.

 

Hopefully, that's enough info.

I am afraid you will have to draw your bulb ligths and place them one by one over the green line.

I'm not sure I understand how I'd do that. 😁

You can draw a bulb light and then copy it to the clipboard and then paste it over the green line on an empty layer. I drew a red bulb.

You can also change the color of each bulb using the color adjustments provided by Paint.net.

You can also move the light bulbs from your original image.

Maybe in a future update to Paint.NET it will be possible to and additional nodes to the Line / Curve Tool so that you can make it better conform to a longer or more irregular path.

There are a couple of plugins that allow for the creation of multi-node line / curve paths.

Nice job on the video, Pixey....I just learned from it that you don't have to click on "copy" when cutting something to paste it onto another area.
