I envy your Avatar skills, something I have never been able to do. Top works here

Cellphone is a pretty cool and detailed work. Top marks for that one

@TechnoRobbo - General Nuttyness would be a good name for a plug-in too

The theme this week is – Metallic.
And has been chosen by – DrewDale.
This week’s topic invites you to create a metallic style sig (chrome / brass / copper etc..)
you can either use the metal as your background, your name or both
(check out the Tutorial section if you need any inspiration, help or guidance)
The deadline for entries is 9:00pm (UK Time) on Sunday July 21.
To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World TimeCompetition rules.
1. Max sig dimensions 500x200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500x150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig.
2. Please keep your sig family friendly.
3. Keep to the theme that has been set.
4. Modifying or replacing your sig is not permitted after submitting your entry.
5. Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous.
6. Your entry must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work.
The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering
Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler and Nitenurse79 for keeping this comp going in the past
This thread is for posting your entries only.
If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here.. -

You will find waves Here

I don't have a network linking my printer ( I only have one PC / printer set up) but as a shot in the dark, I would guess if you take one out of the equation (the lap top) then yes you will be disconnected. All I can offer up as a work around would be to install the HP software on both PC and lap top. Unless anyone else can offer up a solution?

Looks interesting, will try it out.

Some high quality works here, That colours sig should be entered in the comp. It would get a vote off me for sure. Great gallery.

To agree. I love the calm that comes with solitary, I would gladly have that as my desktop image or even hung on the wall. Top work indeed.
-
I guess there must be a knack to getting 3D of to a T. I will stick with it and hopefully get a good result.

Thanks all for the comments and the visit. It really means a lot to have good feedback.@ Helen - Indeed it was clipwarp, your glossy work inspires me to reach higher, the scatter was just a test that worked out well.@ RedOchre - Without your super awesome plugin a lot of my work would not be possible, glad you like the result.@ Welshblue - Cheers mate, If only I could master the art of 3D text, each time I try it, the letters become un readable, must look up more tutes and learn how to do it.@ Barbieq - Thank you, happy you like what I created.@ Sasha - King of clipwarp, now there's a category for the next PDN award show, TR's plugins have opened up some more possibilities for me. You should give scatter a go, I'm sure with your flair for PDN, you will create something cool.

Cheers Helen and Welshblue - There are some great new plugins out now that I think can be really inspiring and adictive. I do look forward to the final version of Midora's path tools plugin and always hope that TechnoRobbo keeps bringing out his cool plugins too. A new image on pg#1 uses the scatter plugin nicely (IMO)
As always, a big thanks for passing through my gallery

I put the wrong one up

Feel free to upload the right one - I can keep a secret

Nice one TR

I use a HP photosmart C5280 printer / scanner / copy - I also use windows 8 and downloaded a similar pack to what you describe, I was given the option during the install stage to go for a full or custom install. I chose custom (mostly because I don't use all the bloat features that comes with the software) and then let the wizard do it's thing, the only interaction I had to do was power up my printer so it could locate my device and install the drivers needed, I didn't pick any specific location, I just let it do it's thing.
