  1. There use to be a plugin from June 14th, 2008 called "Centerlines.dll", but I can find no trace of it today. I have it in my Effects/Render for many years now.
  2. It may have something to do with anti-aliasing being enabled. I am not a coder so I have no idea what is needed to disable it in your script.
  3. I think that you are talking about Text Along A Path. (This maybe a plugin that is closest to what you want: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/16634-wave-text-ver10-release/) Here is a listing of the Text Formation Plugins as of today: Circle Text 28 Sep 2009dpy Writes text into a circle, or on an angle. 4. This is my quick and dirty result of compositing and over painting. Further retouching will be required but this not bad for 30 minutes.
  5. This is really quite a good result! With this image and the use of other image effect techniques offered by other contributers to this thread, a nice composited image can be constructed. Good work, that destroys my theory!
  6. The more I look at Frankie's photo the more puzzling it appears. Why is the red face and hair more saturated than other areas of the photo. It appears that it was an attempt of compositing. On a closer inspection the reddish face and hair look like the Wand Tool was use to separate the face from a background and then over-saturated for some reason, or the whole flame was over-saturated and he wanted to pull a part out and use it in another image. Then this facial area was placed on top of a different background and torso. If we had both images it may be easier to help him create the effect that he is attempting to achieve.
  7. That does not make the task easier. It would be simple to make the text transparent , but recreating what would go underneath is the problem. If your document was created in layers it would also be easy just to delete or hide the text layer, but that is not you have presented here. I would find another background the was suitable and start over. EER is correct!
  8. I think for Frankie, color cast and color correction filters are the lest of his worries now. For the home user who does not shoot for NatGeo, a simple rig will suit their needs and offer results better than that of a consumer model scanner.
  9. Your best bet is to go on-line and search for a similar background that is void of text.
  10. JPEG does not support hyperlinking. What is going on in a PDF, HTML, or Powerpoint is that command is embedded within the document format that establishes the link when the image is clicked on. The image may have text in it but the text does not execute. You can designate that clicking on the any part of the image causes the link to execute or that only a designated portion of the image (down to a single pixel) to execute the linking. The JPEG image does not do this, it is the code embedded within the document format that does it.
  11. Raising the saturation level to maximum can cause you to loose 30% of your color palette.
  12. Indeed Kodachrome was a excellent film stock. It looks like the film used was either outdated or over heated (or both). I do have an Epson Perfection V100 document/photo/film scanner that is still a very good device, but I use my Polaroid slide duplicator and my digital camera for most of 35mm slide copying. I set up a sheet of clear frosted acrylic between my LED light source and my copying stand mounted camera and shoot at 20 mega pixels HDR. It works better than my scanner. It is a good idea to insert a washed out slide first and focus on just the film grain before copying. Universal slide duplicator device (~$35 US) Clear/colorless frosted acrylic sheet ~ 12 x 12 inches (~$10 US) (840 lumens / 9 watt / 5000k) LED daylight bulb ($2 US) You can use a tripod if you don't have a copying stand. Note: About the price of a dinner for 2 and last a whole lot longer! 🙂
  13. Your image is basically a monochrome of orange with its tints tones and shades. The face is very grainy and in the shade. If this scan is a fair representation of slide it will take a bunch of work make it appear better. I get my best colors for this image when I used Adjustments/Color Balance +v1.1 by dpy. With the Tone Balance Highlights option selected. Cyan - Red set to -26 Magenta - Green set to 64 Yellow - Blue set to 100
  14. No. We took a bus tour of parts of the city before going to the air port. 🙂
  15. When my wife and I were in Anchorage, Alaska last September, I made several attempts at shooting 360 degree panoramas and stitching sequences together. I used one of those panorama photo attempts to make the image that you see below. I used the G'MIC Distortions/Sphere effect to get this result. (I know that on some Smart-phones there are apps to get the effect that cryer52 posted.) The photo posted by cryer52 was created by professional photographer; Sam Javanrouh. He uses quality cameras with special 360 panoramic tripod mounts to capture his base image and then uses a variety of apps for post production. (follow link) http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/about.htm @AndrewDavid We spent ~8 hours in your city before flying to California and then back to Ohio
  16. When using the G'MIC plugin for Paint.NET there is a Deformations effect called 'sphere' that does something like what you are requesting. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113564-gmic-1-12-2019/?tab=comments#comment-551978 You may have to turn your image upside down before you use the effect.
  17. I found that a Centelith Development Studio does music on Sound Cloud https://soundcloud.com/gabriel-barki-hazan Maybe this Arkhanvm OS is some undocumented distro of Linux
  18. Here are some links to some video tutorials on Paint.NET: https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=Paint.NET+video+tutorials&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
  19. Here is a video on what you are trying to achieve https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_hpwGp2PEQ
  20. I use the eraser tool to clear away background elements near my main subject. I zoom in to the subject and set my eraser size to ~4. This is the few times I work with anti-aliasing enabled so that I get feathering at the edges as I erase around the subject. When this is done I set the erase to ~30 and get rid of the larger areas of background. Now I can add colors or even a new background to a new layer and merge them when I am satisfied. Usually, I will save to a PDN file before I merge so that I can come back at some future point and rework if needed.
  21. A company called NovaLogic Inc. designed games that stored .BMX files. It was sold to THQ Nordic. https://www.thqnordic.com/article/thq-nordic-acquires-all-novalogics-franchises NovaLogic http://www.novalogic.com
  22. .BDF files are FEMs (Finite Element Mesh) https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/520b/a3e0ce4a2d17493ab9bde7adbc4f2efc4034.pdf Engineering software such as MATLAB can open .DBF documents. https://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab.html FreeCAD can also open .BDF files. https://www.freecadweb.org/ My guess is that those polygon meshes can be texture mapped for characters, objects, and landscapes.
  23. I the the .BMX files for Alpha Five are database/spreadsheet information files. Siemens Mobile Phone .BMX files are 16 x 16 pixel graphic BMP animations for their phone The BMXdesign Co. .BMX files are CAD files in an Extended Bitmap Container I saw somewhere that a .BMX file format was used by a video game company
