  1. If the source file was saved at a lower quality originally, editing and saving at 95% will result in a larger file size.
  2. Just to clarify things, are you able to post other images on Facebook okay?
  3. You could use the Line/Curve tool with Filled Arrow Style. Make the line vertical, then reshape the arrow-head using a rectangular selection and the Move Selected Pixels tool. Then tilt the arrow to the angle that you want, and crop and save it as a PNG file to use as a brush in the CustomBrushesMini plugin.
  4. With the background the active working layer, Press: Ctrl A Delete Sounds like the canvas is all selected. Press Esc to deselect. Use the Magic Wand on the text with the Shift key held down to select the text before running the gradient.
  5. Can you post a link to an example image of what you want to accomplish?
  6. Zoom in and use the Pan tool. Or, select it and use the Move Selected Pixels tool. Depending on what you mean by your question.
  7. Make a new layer and fill it with the color you want your vignette to be. Make a selection in the middle of the canvas, then press Delete. Blur. Easy.
  8. You may need to associate the filetypes individually. What OS version are you using? (XP, Vista, etc.) -------------------------------------------------------------------- With Vista: Control Panel (Classic View) > Default Programs > Associate a file type or protocol with a program
  9. The disparity seems to affect any odd sized brush width. http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/7380/outlinedrectangle01.png
  10. Add a new layer for the text. Layers > Add New Layer Press the Esc key and try the text tool again. =============================================== Make a Rectangular Selection around the part of the image that you want to keep. Then: Image > Crop to Selection
  11. In the top menu of Paint.NET: Image > Canvas Size... Make the canvas size in pixels large enough to fit in both pictures. Next: Layers > Import From File... Import first one, then the second image. Position them with the Move Selected Pixels tool.
  12. Apply a transparent linear gradient to the image in the top layer. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/GradientTool.html
  13. One work-around is to make the Paint.NET window smaller so that there is room to the sides for the Tools, History, Layers, and Colors windows. You can also expand the canvas, so that your image has a border of transparency around it.
  14. You need to save as PNG or GIF. JPEG won't preserve transparency.
  15. Have you tried repairing or uninstalling/re-installing the NET Framework?
  16. If the Quality slider in the JPEG Save Configuration is set to 100, is the image still blurry? If you save as PNG is the image blurry? Could you post the blurry result so that we can take a look?
  17. There's no collected repository of these that I'm aware of.
  18. You can save your settings as .xml files. There's a dropdown Load/Save menu. The arrow by XML at the bottom.
  19. Render > Fire... is a Simon Brown plugin. Render > Fire! is the Tom Jackson Fire Effect.
  20. This may be the one that you're thinking of.
  21. It isn't clear whether you wanted help with the scope template or only with being able to re-use it for several frames in the animated GIF. Here are some ideas on the template design: http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/2508/riflescope01.png Your finished template can be saved as a transparent PNG file or .pdn file. It can be brought into a project file using, Layers > Import From File... Duplicate the template layer as many times as you need for the number of frames in the finished GIF file, and merge it to each background layer once you have positioned it where you want it to be. Each layer in the .pdn file will be a frame in the finished GIF. I recommend saving as a .pdn file in addition to saving as AGIF. (If you are using Simon Brown's Animated GIF plugin you need to save as AGIF then rename to GIF after saving.) Animated Image 2.1 - AGIF & APNG If you use another program to make the animation, save as .pdn then use the Layer Saver "plugin" to harvest the layers as individual images. Layer Saver ================================================================ This plugin is very helpful for working on projects that need precise centering: Align Object Plugin
  22. If you decide to try the Installer Cleanup Utility anyway: There is a download available here: http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html The three lower download mirrors work, not the top one.
  23. You can get the basic shape using these plugins: Shape 3D Quadrilateral Reshape The .xml file can be loaded into Shape 3D. You can make adjustments to the settings to suit. http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/7818/fezz01.png http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/6040/fezz02.png Fez02.xml
