  1. I use Advanced Rotate fairly often, but I have a question: Did the author make 45 the default as a joke? It is irritating and I cannot understand why the default can't be zero or 1. 45 is ridiculous!
  2. This is by far my most used plugin - love it! However, I've noticed that of all the adjustments that can be made with this, anything with the color GREEN seems to be unaffected. I know green is a combo of yellow and blue, but the green color by itself rarely, if ever, shows any adjustment to green in my image. What might be wrong here? I have no problem with any other color adjustments.
  3. I didn't realize there were so few working this great app. I didn't mean to sound negative so I hope it doesn't read that way. Several good comments here, but I still think the easiest way would be to simply allow end-users to shuffle addins, but ONLY within the Adjustments and Effects menus so as not to screw up something unintended.
  4. I find the menu location choice of some authors for their plugins to be very questionable. The result is very long Effects and Adjustments menus, often with only one or two items listed in the submenus. No way to move them or combine them into a more logical menu choice. Very frustrating, but I have been living with that scenario for a few years now. Can someone create a plugin to allow moving plugins to different sub-menus? Or can the Paint.net folk simply allow "slightly" more flexibility? Not to create new submenus that Paint.net folk do not want, but simply to allow moving a plug-in from one sub-menu (within Effects & Adjusments) to another and then to delete an empty submenu. Actually, I think when a submenu is empty, it does disappear - not sure.
  5. I use Paint.net nearly every day - and have done so for a few years. But I always find the organization of plugins to be extremely confusing and very difficult to simply search for a plugin by its name. I just wish there was a way to create a user page NOT in a forum, where plugins may be downloaded. The work put into these plugins is impressive and highly appreciated - just wish they could be found easier.
  6. I love this nifty add-in also, but I want to know if the scripts I create can be loaded somewhere under an Effects sub-menu so I can just click on a script name to make it do its thing??? Otherwise I have to click on Scriptlab, then load my script, then exit Scriptlab each time I want to use any of my scripts - right?
  7. Just what I was looking for but I need similar functionality from within Paint.net to use on an already loaded image I am editing. I'll keep looking.
  8. Having the center of the screen as default is fine. Just make it remember the dialog position within each session. Thanks for listening. Great application!
  9. The adjustments and effects dialogs always open right in the middle of the Paint.Net screen - in other words, right over the center of your paint object (photo, etc.). It is the last place anyone should want it to appear. I always have to drag it out of the way before I can use the effect (otherwise, you can't see what the effect is doing). Can this be fixed in one or another? Example A: Make all such dialogs open at the right-most side of the Paint window by default (or left, etc.). Example B: Have Paint.net remember the last position of any dialog box - and apply it for ALL effects/adjustments dialogs that open subsequent to that. This is my favorite option even if Paint.net won't keep the position after it closes. Moving the first dialog box of a new session once is no big deal as long as Paint.net will remember it per session.
  10. Anywhere but in the middle. And I don't mind them opening in the middle at first, but when I reposition one, just have paint.net remember last window position for these tool dialogs. Repeat: Anywhere but the middle of my object. There cannot be a single user of this app that wants the dialog right on top of what they are editing. Thanks.
  11. way cool ... does that mean I am supposed to actually have my eyes open while using the program? I'm sorry, I was unaware of that. LOL Thanks.
  12. I have been using Paint.net for over a year and I have never seen that tool menu - only an icon view. Are you sure you are referring to Paint.net?
  13. If you can, will you allow a user setting (or just make the app work this way) to remember some or all selected options within the same session - maybe even across sessions. For example, the Save dialog defaults to PNG every time, which I don't use at all. If it remembered what I selected last time it would be a nice click saver to an already great application. Thanks.
  14. It would be nice if you had a patch log available from the Help menu, perhaps. Then append to it with each update, such as this last one to 3.5.4. Thanks.
  15. Can you set Paint.net to remember window dialog screen position? At least for the current session. That would be a great fix so the little dialog boxes don't open smack in the middle of the working object. Thanks.
  16. I am using 3.5.4. A couple patches ago, or so, this was not happening, but the Rectangle Select tool is not releasing upon selection of other tools. You discover this when you try to start using, say, the clone tool for example. The clone tool won't work until you go back to the Rectangle tool and click somewhere in the working window. Then you can use other tools. I hope this can be fixed. :?
  17. I love PdN and use it regularly. One very annoying thing though, is the tiny icon to the immediate upper right of Clone Stamp itself. Especially when doing some fairly close-in cloning, the tiny indicator icon is in the way and the user cannot see to the right/upper right. I don't find the tiny indicator icon of any use anyway, since I know what I've selected or can quickly undo if for some reason it becomes necessary. Can this tiny icon be totally removed when using the Clone Stamp?
  18. It isn't the menu choice location, it is the pop-up dialog boxes that appear to initiate an effect. They always pop up right in the middle of the main window so the user has to always move the dialog box before anything can be set and execute. You can't see the center of the object/photo otherwise.
  19. Please allow for at least some savable basic user settings: 1. Remember file type when saving files - instead of having to re-select JPEG (for example) every time a file is newly saved. 2. Remember settings for image capture (acquire/scan) and a default device so it is less click-intensive each time 3. Most frustrating of all is having the effects dialog boxes always open right smack dab in the middle of the drawing object or picture. Please allow for user placement and remembering dialog box locations. 4. Remember effects and adjustments settings across sessions and not just for the current session. Thank you very much - really great product!
