  1. I love the effects but the background doesn't really fit in my opinion. Also, the text is too far away from the focal.
  2. @camerator: The colours are not very appealing and it looks rather unrefined. It looks like the screw heads are just floating there. Also, you could work on anti-aliasing, try working large and then resizing. @chrisco97: Very nice, my only nitpicks are that it feels like the glow is a bit too bright, and that Venom's left hand distracts from the focal a bit, at least for me. Great effects and nice text. Vote goes to chrisco97. camerator - 1 chrisco97 - 1
  3. @Axle: Fine concept, but it's a bit too plain. There's a lot of empty space and there's not much going on. I like how your name is separate from the rest of the sig, but I don't think it's necessary since there is so little on the sig anyway. Good text, though. @N00Bz: It's good, but rather empty. Nice smudging and good text. Vote goes to N00Bz. Axle - 0 N00Bz - 1
  4. I like your latest (as well as all the other ones ) but I think the fractal may be a bit too opaque, or the colour too strong. I think I like "Freedom" and "Desire" best, but all your work is fantastic.
  5. Thanks for the comments! I used this stock with some smudging and a mask of the Crysis logo. Not a whole lot of effort went into it, but meh.
  6. Thanks, Mendo! Three new sigs added today. Comments appreciated.
  7. csm725: 3 Frontcannon: 1 Frontcannon, I like yours, but it's just a bit too small. #winner csm725
  8. The only thing I changed is that I edited the bottom piece so the width was 500px like the rest. I don't know why that disconnected the top. I also removed the size tags because they didn't seem to do anything. I recommend making the bottom part a part of the 5 images above it, so each of them has a part of the bottom image. Example: You'll have to sacrifice the bottom link, though.
  9. I couldn't solve the blank space, but I could make the bottom part centred like the rest. I tried the code on another forum and it didn't have the blank space, so my guess is that it's a bug. 10. (1) You can use the rectangle tool set on draw filled shape :ShapeInterior: and with white selected as your primary color (or whatever color your background is) and then draw on the same layer as your lines. You can also use the rectangle select tool and select the area you want to erase, then press delete. Both ways are pretty tricky and their might be better ones. (2) Select the part using one of the selection tools. Then press ctrl + copy. Add a new layer :AddNewLayer: and press ctrl + v. Then move the part around using the move tool. If you want to erase the original part, press delete right after you copy it.
  11. It reminds me of the "Mike Ryan" sig tutorial. [link] [link]
  12. @Chrisco97: The render doesn't really match the background and there aren't a whole lot of effects. It looks like all you did was paste a render on a background and add a glow at the bottom. Try some other techniques like C4Ds and brushing to make the sig a little more complex. I do like the border you made. I think it fits the signature pretty well. Made a vertical signature today. Is it any good?
  13. Great idea! I bet we'll have a lot of cool entries (as always ).
  14. @Pipp: Great job. The focal is centered, but it works. I like the effects around the edges and... I prefer the first version over the sepia one. @Chrisco: Too short, aliased render and needs more effects. Also, I think the border is too thick. Try putting more effects on the center instead of in the corners.
  15. I'm entering with something similar to this:
  16. Wait, the rule said one render only. It said nothing about stocks.
  17. Also, can you use multiple stocks of the subject, for example members of a band if they are un-rendered?
  18. Heh. I'm working with the exact same render. Your signature needs better blending. The render looks pasted on. You should also add more effects.
  19. In my opinion, the colored shape should be a little less desaturated. I think the second one is better. I made a tutorial for my Spider-man signature. [link] Is there any interest for having it here (in the Tutorials forum)?
  20. You can use Ed Harvey's Color tint effect. It's in Effects -> Color if you have downloaded it.
  21. That's archaic all right. Looks pretty good. Effects are nice and the C4Ds fit in. However, the text is pretty bad and he's actually called Tutankhamun. I would remove the text and maybe make the whole sig a bit smaller.
  22. Stocks: Render: http://www.planetrenders.net/renders/di ... pos=-10131 Cave background: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1154793 C4Ds (pack): http://gokuva.deviantart.com/art/Effect ... 1-52174059
  23. I dislike the clouds background and the pyramid and statues are poorly cut. I would also pick a different font.
