That tut was made after mine.

The first WOTW had a week deadline. In the end, 10 people entered, but everyone entered on the first and second day. The rest was boring and nothing happened. Also, if more people entered, I'm guessing less people will vote. In fact, I think it would be better if there were LESS entries.

The planet is really blurry compared to the mountains and water... try a sharper texture or just run Sharpen on the planet layer. Cool meteor.

That's true, Chad. Maybe I'll up the limit a bit.. maybe 15? If anyone has any good external poll sites, let me know.

Then I would have to do a lot more work. Besides, these are actually "of the week" now. The SOTW takes like 2 weeks. 10 entries makes it faster, and if you make one but we're already for, you have a wallpaper for your gallery.

It's well animated, but it's kinda lame, because a lot of the things people animate in pdn are swirls like that.

Sadly, no. The planet is 100%, but the explosion things are renders I made. I could probably make it 100% though with enough zoom blurring random blobs.
