  1. The main obsticle is probably that Paint.NET was designed to be a bitmap editor rather than a vector editor and so the specification was designed like that. But I believe the most important feature with any software is the ability to undo any of your steps individually. Partly the reason I hated using freeform when I used to program in liberty basic.
  2. Speaking of that - what we really need is non-linear history. But I believe the best way to implement that is width adjustment layers - which are apparently coming in version 4. But all these features I imaging will be a "plumbing" nightmare.
  3. Maybe it's something more powerful than macros.
  4. Right. ScriptLab's capabilities, being based on the Effect API, are therefore limited to all the same restraints as any other effect plugin. However, ScriptLab won't always be a plugin... Do you mean it will be a seperate program? Edit: Or part of Paint.NET itself?
  5. This is a very useful plugin, but like someone said earlier - it would be amazing if you could import a 3d model.
  6. Users will never update it - I don't really like the idea of users being encouraged to have out-of-date versions of my plugins. Like I said, when they enjoy all their great new plugins they will praise you - when things go wrong you will blame the individual plugin developers.
  7. They will blame the plugin developers when things go wrong and give you credit when things go right. I gather you will also put the copyright info. If I were you I would write an application to download each plugin from the url (to provide up-to-date versions) and include copyright notices in the license agreement.
  8. The fact is, it isn't your copyright as 1. You haven't patented it You don't have to register copyright - just record it - in the UK you don't even have to write it for it to apply. I gather he means to us - not to him. But yes - the users arn't going to bother finding out who wrote it or comment and you will have a lot of upgrading to do. Personally I still think we should go with the "plugin gallery" idea I wrote about ages ago.
  9. Yes - providing you give me credit and ensure you include the copyright notice.
  10. I have just had a thought - wouldn't it be just as badly organised to have the image hospital as just a thread?
  11. I know I have recently proposed - and people are discussing a dedicated pictorium section. But there also seem to be a lot of contests - I suggest a dedicated section for those too.
  12. That's what dA is for. Remember... first and foremost, this is a Paint.NET forum.
  13. Where to and why? Is it to have more control over it? Don't forumer offer a more advanced service too so you could probably upgrade this forum.
  14. So, out of interest, when - if it does - do you expect it to happen?
  15. What would you do if your image fell into more than one category?
  16. Can you please post a link? Or do you mean the thread that I started? It would be nice to get his up-to-date feedback after reading this thread.
  17. If you do need another mod - I suggest UsedHONDA given his post count.
