  1. actually, i have had the exact same problem for a long time - so i haven't used feather for months.
  2. Of course they should not have hacked into Palin's email; of course it was wrong. And yes, the irony is bitter and brutal (see the Patriot Act for details).
  3. more of a riddle than a game: P4X Riddle Gets pretty hairy after about 20 rooms
  4. I also made a flag for all the unrepresented masses:
  5. If you decide to move forward on the project, let me know. You already have a choir of voices trying to participate; more than enough, most likely. The publishing process requires plenty of work, but it also requires focus. Too many voices will make it difficult for readers to follow your writing. If you discover that you have everything under control, you probably don't need additional coaching. However, if you realize that you do need help developing and implementing a productive strategy, feel free to contact me. I poke around the forum occasionally - if only for the April Fool's Day activities.
  6. I'm not an expert with pdn, but I have an education in the outlining, writing, editing and publishing of books. If you are serious about the project and would like some help, let me know. Before you start stringing a book together, you should focus your first-step efforts on developing an outline. Then you should develop a summary (yes, before you begin writing the content). If you are interested in more than a compilation - if you are interested in publishing your work - then you want to outline, summarize and pitch the project to someone before you write it. This will save you weeks of work.
  7. I haven't commented on anyone else's gallery; but I found myself agreeing with everyone's thoughts here and quickly realized you deserve the praise you're receiving. Your work is very slick, very attractive - and has an understated unique flare that most modern designs seem to lack. Because I don't think anyone has mentioned it, yet, I wanted to give you kudos on your wiki-skin. Beautiful stuff, Exp.
  8. If you want to prove it change your rank to "I am BoltBait now". For the love of Pete . . . it doesn't seem to be working.
  9. So this wasn't an April fool? But Bike Ryan would have won!?! Goldarnit!
  10. Well, not quite. I'll be banning three members sometime today before I make a smooth transition into using BoltBait's username on a regular basis. Ford Prefect: "Odd, isn't it?" Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four." (Interesting: this Twain quote works every day, not just on April 1)
  11. The New BoltBait Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time to reform."
  12. That's how I feel. That's why I'm out! Except for the lifetime banning power, I hear you. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "It is easier to stay out than get out"
  13. Hah. And yes, we liked the new avatar, too. If midnight doesn't get here soon, they'll be clamoring for that taboo guy, again.
  14. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: 1, "Suppose you were an idiot and suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself." 2. "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  15. First: That's the sort of thinking that got me in over my head in the first place. Second: taboo with one mod account: Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  16. More than fair. (Of course, I just posted again, so you'll have to search the couch for another dollar. Always works for me.) I'm not ++ing my bid constantly match your post count. It just happened to match it at the time I was offering, and I thought it an interesting coincidence to point out. $4324 stands. Yes, very interesting . . . And now it seems I'm out of the running. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  17. . . . bloody potato. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  18. I understand. I apologize, too. I'm getting a little snippy because everyone seems to think I'm somehow going to single-handedly run this place into a brick wall - one member even posted a photo of a train-wreck, did you see that? I'm even starting to think that being a mod or an administrator might not be as wonderful as people usually think. - But there are those three members out there, and I'm still going to ban them. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  19. I would more-determine that on the percentage of their salary, their dedication to this forum they have shown and how long they have been a member. I understand what you're saying. In fact, I suppose I'm the case in point. What is the problem, here? I have no intention of behaving in an untoward manner, and with the exception of the three members I will likely ban, and those members who depend on Boltbait's work, it is unlikely that anybody will feel a significant difference in his or her life-experience on this planet. All right? Does everyone feel better now? I'm sure everyone knows that Boltbait wouldn't be allowed to auction off his username and rank without Rick's approval. If anyone finds it necessary, I would be happy to PM you the appropriate correspondences. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  20. Please read the entire thread! Quoting myself: Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  21. I assume anyone here who has a valid interest in the bidding has read through this thread in its entirety. Also assuming that the individuals who bid $8000+ do not have a valid interest, my offer is still the highest. I have no intention of outbidding anyone who genuinely wishes to pay $8000 for Boltbait's username and rank; however, anyone who believes they will outbid me with a sum less than $2000 would be better served by surfing eBay for obscure G.D. bootlegs. One last note: do you really want someone to take Boltbait's place who isn't willing to stake at least $2000 in Pdn? You say you want someone who cares. Well, let me tell you this: I'm investing a significant dollar figure in this auction--and this figure should assure everyone that I will care very much. Granted, I don't know anything about programming, and I also happen to be colorblind (NO that ISN'T a joke), and honestly I'm only investing in Boltbait's rank in order to ban three members on my "to-do" list. However, my intentions are good. So let's give Boltbait a break, okay? Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
  22. Trust me, he has no intention of stealing my money, and I've had a notarized interaction with Rick, himself. Okay, enough. I need to go.
  23. I always read the fine print. Anyway, I admit it's possible I'm being fooled. However, I have made several copies of each and every PM Boltbait and I have exchanged; in addition, at this very moment, I have someone I know I can trust tracking my VISA Live Banking records. Also, the figure I offered Boltbait was, I'm sure, flattering enough that any thoughts of pulling a prank have vanished. I'm not trying to taunt anyone, by the way. I just take Boltbait's work here seriously. In any event, I need to get some work done this afternoon, so this will likely be my last post as Taboo. I'd like to assure everyone that if I take over Boltbait's name and rank, I will do my best to make the transition as smooth as possible. I'll also do my best to emulate his language style to the extent of my ability (sorry: I do not know how to program; there will be no future updates), and to make my responses to your questions and requests sound as much like BoltBait as I possibly can. Samuel Langhorne Clemens: "This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three-hundred and sixty-four."
