Ah well, it's all in the title really. I'd like to see the text tool be given the ability to pull letters tighter together, or push them further away, as well as the ability to pull lines of text closer to each other. I do this by hand when I need to (and I do, considering that's the theme I chose for the web pages I'm designing at the moment...) by selecting each letter and pasting it on a new layer, then working with that, but it takes a lot of and it's very imprecise. As you can see, it yields interesting results. So, is there a possibility to see this come our way in the future? Thanks.

dirrections to paint .net

Simon Brown, could you please just stop to reply to threads which are against the board rules? You always, always do it, effectively creating the impression that one gets what he wants, regardless if using the forum in the proper way. Thanks. Thread reported. And you don't notice how that's much better than coming to a forum expecting help and getting your thread locked? I remember the times when I first joined a forum. When I'd get my thread locked, I'd always feel attacked. He put it nicely. Honestly, this being in the wrong section probably hasn't affected you that much... -

If you're making this website for work, you're better off hiring a professional. It's better not to have a website than to have a really bad one. -

I was going to call it balloon fest, but it sounded really daft. -

Are we allowed to post vertical tags? From scratch. Looks better on a dark background. -

PB, text, line tool, Hue/Sat, Gradient mapping, Gradient tool. I didn't go for paintbrush only, it's just that the need for other things didn't present itself. -

It's over contrasted. Way over-contrasted. Crop some of the right off too. 99% paintbrush. -

Your render is not cut out neatly, and the large text is aliased. The smaller text should be clean cut rather than blurry like it already is. Now, some theory. In your sig, there's one spot that the person looking at it will look at first; it's called your focal point, and it should stand out either colors-wise, luminosity-wise, or effect-wise(effects are things you add to a render in order to make it interesting. In your case, you could say the fragmenting is your effects). Your focal point should be the man. But it's not, because your text stands out too much on that black background. Learning to make your focal point obvious is important, and can make or break a tag, or most artworks for that matter. It's a respectable job for a first without a tut. Keep it coming. Om nom nom gradient mappings. -

Guys, just a reminder: This is the umbrella for Signatures, Avatars, Logos, and Text. Not abstract. -
I think this what you're looking for: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26979 But in the future, use the search feature, and if that really finds nothing useful, make a new thread under General Discussions and Questions. If you were just asking how to make signatures, start by reading tutorials and following them.

Doesn't matter, it'll have the same effect as long as the text is on top. -

I'm curious to know how you did the perfect fade from 2px line tool width, to 1px, in the right part of her hair, near her sunglasses. With only line tool that is. I can do it with :AlphaChannel: gradient, but its tough without. :? http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=d64c ... b9a8902bda ^Video. Clip00021. -
