  1. Please read the rules, particually the one stating that artwork should be posted in the Pictorium. Anyways, have a nice stay here.
  2. Works great. Do you think I should write a program to change the settings? P.S. How stupid of me to expect the avrage end user to edit the registry by hand. I think you should have a option to change the default settings. And the regedit methord didn't work for me at all, and I have admin privledges. EDIT: And can we please have the aviimportsettings.txt in the Paint.NET User Files folder? And if the folder isn't there, your plug-in can just create it.
  3. First of all, clean up your language. And it's hardly cripple-wear, if you want that, look for stuff by Micheal J. Hardy and aafuss. And the reason it un-installs is because patching wouldn't really work for a 2mb program. And also, how would you think a program can update itself without access to the internet? I'm sorry, but this is not Rick's fault at all. Neither is it yours, you just need a internet connection to update. And also, without internet access, Paint.NET can't detect updates, so did you check for updates then disconnect from the internet?
  4. Bug: Clicking on the X button dosen't cancel the operation, it still puts it onto the canvas. Apart from that, it's good. EDIT: Also, I'm presuming you need to restart Windows for the changes to the thumbnail to work?
  5. So we are also getting the new dialog settings aswell? Anyways, I guess, a way to import a video of some sort, split it into frames, and then allows you to choose an effect to apply to the video, and then put the frames back into the filetype. I guess that's more of just a plug-in rather than a file-type though, but it would bring batch processing to PDN, and some batch processing is for video making. That's not really possible with a plugin. In fact i've tried to suggest that to Rick Brewster but he told me it had already been discussed. Just wondering, how is it not possible with a plug-in? A plug-in, file-type or standard can load and save files, so, like with the AVIImport, it creates it into all frames, and then mabye have something like ScriptLab which allows you to choose a plug-in, and then it renders all of the frames and then re-compiles them. You can use the TEMP directory for the frames aswell so it isn't effect as much in the memory.
  6. Well, it's huge if you haven't got .NET 2.0. It isn't as large. It's still pretty big though.

  8. Leave the installer alone for 20 minutes. I mean, don't even look at it. If it dosen't work, exit the installer, and then zip up a version of %TEMP%/PdnMsiInstall.log and send it to Rick.
  9. Bug is fixed for next release. You'll have to download the installer to upgrade.
  10. Check my image again, towards the end of the slider. There is a marker, then a marker close to it which is out of proportion to the other markers. That's because the framework puts an additional marker at each end. Does it matter? It's just unpleasent to look at. And it only happens at one end, not both.
  11. Go into File > Plugin Load Errors. Is the water reflection effect listed there?

  13. Because it's a bug. Bugs are meant to be fixed for convience, not for one person. And secondly, Internet Explorer is the default internet browser when you get windows, so is the default one unless you change the setting. It isn't being byist, it's fixing bugs, and those bugs are fixed, and are also correct in how they are said.
  14. AVIImport Dialog: Picture at normal size: Picture resized to 300 by 300 (Same size as AVIImport thumbnail] There.
  15. Does the update work? Yes, though the thumbnail is absouletely ugly, and it seems to have a little bug in the slider.
  16. Don't work in this version. Does clock.avi? Never tried it. I just used my own .avi's which I've made.
  17. Probably because I increased thumbnail size. I'll try to find a way around that. Edit: What about videos that worked with the first ever version? Don't work in this version.
  18. No, he just said he has a lot of them to do, he's asking for a faster way to get one image done.
  19. You could use Ash's googlepage of Recommended Plug-in's here as a bit of a basis. I'd personally download the Ed Effects package, Madjik's plug-in's, pyrochild's plug-in's, Shape3D, all the other stickied plug-in's, and also all of the filetype plug-in's which aren't in progress of being made. And also, if your got any programming classes there, CodeLab will help aswell. And also BoltBait's plug-in's. Then have a look and see if there's anything else which would be good. I should also mention, that you should also check for new PDN versions and upgrade every so often, along with plug-in's. Makes sure bug' are fixed, and there are new features all the time to keep your class entertained
  20. Stupid schools. My art teacher said that the school can't be bothered to get any animation programs, and also another teacher said the only reason the school has PSP is because it's cheap. Always underlacking in the art/designs department. Which is where I'm hoping to spend a bit of time next year. Anyways, PSP has that feature, though is extremely complicated and made me want to tear my eyes out. It looks bad. GIMP may have that feature, but it's also a little "un-tidy" on the UI side.
  21. I now can't import any .avi's videos, even the ones which I have used with previous versions of this software.
  22. It can edit them, but not with the exact same features as PS. As PS has features which PDN dosen't, like some layer blend modes, it means the .PSD document won't appear right as they should, dependant on how much PS exlclusive features are used. But yes, you can, though I'd only recommend saving from .PDN to .PSD, not the other way around. And you'll need a plug-in, search for "Photoshop File Type"
  23. Well, there's a tutorial allowing you to get rid of backgrounds, search for "Cutting Out Images The Easy Way Version 2" Either that or you could just magic wand it, but that looks bad.
