Okay back with it, your plugin is way to intrusive and even after removing it from effects and restarting Paint.Net the problems in the save files configuration would happen, so please fix this I want to be able to save my projects and this is just stalling me

The spider man text is only due to the font, the interesting part is the mettalic look of it

while Magic wand is a nice way to select parts of image, It does not consider a color range, instead it goes for a tolerance in the color. Its like selecting the red in a rainbow and increase the tolerance, in some point it grows through the orange, but it wont get to green or blue until you set it at 100% at wich point it no longer considers the difrences in the colors Now for a more specific way of selecting a 'colour range' : Duplicate the original layer. On Conditional Hue\Sat - select the colour range you want, and set the output to a colour with a high contrast to the rest of the image. On Bightness\Constrast- set contrast to a point where your selection is fully selectable, like turning your selection black and the rest white. Use magic wand to select the desired part, and then go back to the first layer to work with the selection.

what do you mean by 'effects-strings'? the history of effects applied to the original layer? that would be useful in certain ways, but the memory usage would be huge, and i think that it must be rather complicated to make. but anyway if Rick sees some usefullness in this go ahead.

well, it happens most when I'm low on resources, like whne applying an effect to large picture and P.N freezes

OS: Windows Vista When I have Paint.Net running and i hover the mouse pointer on the minimized PdN window the preview that comes with it is the tools window instead of the main one, or it would not show any sub windows. Point is: it is not showing preperly, i'll put some images to prove my point
