you made a checkerboard type pattern, floyd-steinberg (or similar), then blended the layers together either with an alpha plugin or a layer blend mode. is that about right?

If you've managed to add this yourself through the source coude perhaps you could wrap it up in a .dll and make a plugin out of it. I think (and I may be wrong) that, at present, you can only add plugins to the Adjustments or Effects menu's - and this would probably sit better in the Edit menu. Just a thought, though I'm not a programmer and have no idea if it's even possible to create such a plugin. I'm 95% sure it's not, but perhaps we shall wait for the final word from BoltBait and/or Rick.

Yes that's very much possible. I suggest you browse through the Tutorials section. You should find what you need there.

I think you still need to feather the logo. it has a lot of jaggies.

you mean like so? When I opened it in PDN, I noticed that it was already transparent, but it wasn't completely transparent (the alpha was above 0) so I just used an alpha curve to decrease the alpha value.

@Joker: Feather feather feather!!! Also if you really want to save as JPG, you NEED to set the quality slider higher. The compression artifacts look REALLY BAD!

My computer already has a drink tray! You just push this little button on this rectangle thing and it slides right out! I'm not sure why it has a volume control knob and says "DVD+RW" on it though...

Paint.NET is not a video editor. It is purely for graphics. Keep it simple right? You can always use other programs such as Windows Movie Maker or whatever it's called, or other programs (Google is your best friend). There's no reason to add this functionality to Paint.NET. What you're asking is like asking a guitar manufacturer to include a mixer board, a CD burner, and a drink tray to your guitar. There are other tools to do what you want, annd adding these would just create unnecessary bloat. edit: oops. rick beat me. that's what i get for being long-winded
