  1. How can I take a photo, and put like a faded border around the outside of it? You know, to make it blend in on my website? I have seen many pictures that fade out into a white cloudy looking border. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Id like to make some professional looking website buttons, maybe with a glossy type look to them. It this something that can be done with pdn?
  3. I followed the directions on how to make my canvas/background transparent. I used the magicwand to color in the corners and hit cut. It worked great, except for a couple of corners. When I selected one of the corners, it selects a small portion of my picture also. How can I prevent it from doing that?
  4. Here is the scoop: -I have a normal rectangular shape photo -I opened it in PDN -I used the oval selection tool to select the portion of the picture I wanted to keep -I click copy -I opened a new file -I pasted the oval shape into the new file I want to get rid of the white corners of the canvas. When I put this picture on my website, I just want to see the oval part I cut out. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
  5. I had 3 pictures originally imported into pdn into 3 separate layers. I cropped the pics, arranged them where I wanted, and then merged the layers into one, making a collage. I cropped the pics using the lasso tool, so it wouldnt be a bunch of squares put together. I was hoping to get a more natural collage. However, you can tell that the pics just dont fit together very well. Im thinking there must be a way to "blend" the edges of the pics together (where they all touch each other) to make it look more natural. Anyone have any advice on how to do this? Thank you
  6. I am trying to make a simple mirror effect for a heading on my website. I noticed after I finish make the word, and save it, and then put it on the website, its all blurry. The letter dont look very sharp at all. I noticed one person recently put out an example of how to do a mirror effect. He used the words Paint.Net. It tunred out really great. I cant get mine to look like that. Does someone have some step by step instructions on how I can accomplish this? I tried to follow that this guy did, but it does not look the same. Thanks FD
  7. I am new to Paint.net. Usually when I get new software, I can play around with it and figure it out. For some reason I am having all kinds of problems understanding the basics of this software. I need help with basic things like: After I type in text using the text tool, how do I hightlight the text so that I can copy it? How do I get two pictures to come together, kind of like a collage? Im trying to use layers, but I cant figure it out. I have tried to go through the tutorials, but I cant find any basic information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks fd
