^Feather plugin. It's explained a little bit in the post. It basically softens the edges of pixelated or aliased things by either adding transparent pixels around it, or making existing pixels slightly transparent.
Basically, it makes things look smoother.

What about the winamp idea Helio?
That will be voted on too.

I disagree! A lot of the people who want to participate in the MSC do not have as much time as yourself, including me! Mine is not finished yet, simply because I have two clients right now that need websites, and I can't be at the computer all day! I have to be able to live a (somewhat) normal life -- have time to lounge, listen to music, play sports, go on vacation (soon!), etc. Ok?
usedHONDA: I'll put the Widget idea up for voting in the next competition.

Oh, and I forgot to say congrats on the last one, Sandman. So.....
CONGRATULATIONS!

Smaller surface area = less friction = go faster!
Smaller surface area = higher pressure/square inch = popped tires = go nowhere.

Except for the bottom one.

Mines even darker than that! Well, it also has more contrast, and the background is lighter. I guess it evens out.
Remember: Submission time is open for only just under a week!

Ubertastiliciously-superawesomeness!
Hmmm.... I'll have too remember that one too..

Oh... My... Pfargtl.
I'll have to remember that one... and say it at work!
Pyrochild, has anyone ever told you how impressive your coding skills are? Well let me tell you right now, your fast becoming my favorite plugin writer.

You could use the Alpha mask plugin, but I think it will be easier to explain about transparent gradients:
First, click on the gradient tool (on the toolbar), then, up towards the top you will see something like this:
(ignore the highlighting around the radial gradient [the one on the left {more brackets!
}], I used this image for a tutorial.)
Click on the :AllColorChannels: so it looks like :AlphaChannel:. (Oh, make sure that you have the default black and white color setting for secondary/primary colors.)
Then, just drag the gradient tool (try right-clicking and dragging inward), and hold shift to constrain the angle.
I hope that makes sense.

Mine is dark. <_<
uH: Astounding. Just be sure to post in your submission that you did not make the icons, and tell what they are from.

It looks like the skeletons are dancing!

I think that ice counts as weather.
-
... Or what about just a weather sig?
Good one, I change my mind. Weather for sure.
-
How about an "Icy Sig" competition?
I like that idea.
-
I love the feel of the font!

Oh yeah, I knew it didn't sound quite right.
Ok...
