  1. Ash you know what I think would be real neat is where you have the slow motion wave behind the bullet some sort of side ways spiral ...like a corkscrw on its side.
  2. The_Lionhearted Thank you I do try to keep up with what my kids and grandkids are into. They are trying to talk me into doing some of that rock climbing indoors but not too sure I'm going to get involved in that. but will be going white water rafting next month with the son in law. chow
  3. [/img] can you tell I can't sleep. too much after dinner coffee and the cafine is just kicking in.
  4. vobie well "smack " did you just hear that sound its my palm hitting my forehead...why didn't I think of that! I thought it only went as high as 72 ...thanks this now opens up many more possiblities for me using this program.. thanks again to the best forum around!
  5. Madjik ... For this application I'm working on I'm going to use the plug in but I like that tear drop using the wingding will keep that one in mind for future use. : what size text did you use? I can only get 72 largest and the one you posted looks much larger? did you just resize? without loosing any definition?
  6. OK so you wouldn't beleive me if I tried to explain how I was trying to use that plug in. kept checking off the same boxes reshape and 4 and OK nothing happened gave it up as a lost cause so I went out shopping came home and give it one last shot why didn't some one say you move the wee little nobs on the plug in. oh well live and learn. looks like an awsome plug in I'm going to be using quite a bit. thanks
  7. does anyone have some quick tips on how to make this shape? I know I've to combine several shapes together but any quick simple tips to get shape? thanks
  8. thanks Mr Frojo tried something new on it. Jud@s I like that very much did you use vibrato? and water? by any chance and a bit of reflection? I know you said don't ask but then again the purpose of play is to figure out techniques for future usage. LOL!
  9. nice madjik learned something from you again. didn't know about that two color way of using Kaleidoscope I used both in this quick sketch oh yes and some of edharvey systematic nearest pix [/img]
  10. have you tried the render stars ? you could always realign using the plug in effect align.
  11. Ash wrote good plan! I thought that portion looked a bit weak. I'm still looking for some better (more substantial) dingbats for that area. I don't have to submit completed work until the end of July. I will be putting a border around the whole two page spread and incorporating some photos of the little lady and her mum in their store etc. etc. and doing a resize to come within the print size requirements. showed this prelim to the printing committee and they want me to help with some other pages. Good trade off for me ..someone else will do the write up from my interview and I'll do their picture/pages. thanks again everyone for your help an encouragement in using this program
  12. I belong to the local service group that does up an illustrated booklet fund raiser. We interview some of the old gals and guys at the senior home, my sweet little old lady I interviewed this year used to sell lace out with her mum out of a tiny shop when she was just a young girl, back in 1920's. this is the background for my interview page. the bottom section will contain a small write up account of that time in her life. thanks to madjik and ash for their help. any other suggestions before I submit to committee in charge of printing? [/img]
  13. is it possible for one of the guru's of this forum to come up with a true concave lens? I've no programming skills at all and not even sure if it can be done. but what I'm looking for is the reverse of Ed Harvies Lens feature. (use of negative integers?) thanks and if there is a plug already in and I've missed it help me out with a link
  14. ahhhh! as Oma sighs in wonder another plug in! thanks for the suggestions have just downloaded that plug in and will give it a whirl.
  15. [/img] thanks ASH I'll explore that route a bit more ! knew you had some rotation and the grid but as always you take it to the limit....and might I say with great results. here is some quick work up I did on this (early stages..only had one cup of coffee so far this morning.
  16. excellent madjick that's a great font. have downloaded and will make extensive use of this. Ash that's looking interesting. I can see a bit of the grid pattern inthere did you use rotate to move to diamond pattern. I'm positive knowing your work that you've used some fancy distorts, and some plug ins that will be new to me. do tell
  17. [/img] so here is the thing I'm needing some lace for an edging on a picture this is what I've got made so far. and yes I will be changing the color to white this pink is just so the steps show up. so what do I do from here? really needs a spruce up. steps so far background black add a transparent layer on transparent layer draw 20 pt line in pink/will be white when I figure this out then change to webdings 2 text size 36 type the letters abcdabcd then delete black background but its not looking done. Ideas anyone? change

  19. yes spike piccassa does allow batch edits as far as I know you check off each one you want to work on make a separate album?/file? and then edit as a group. I've that program as well but have not used for this function. but I do beleive size is one type of batch edit allowed.
